Song Yuqi is hopelessly in love with the one and only Jeon Soyeon. Problem is, she's never made any bold moves or plans of confessing, well at least when Soyeon's sober or awake. She's always stuck with her actions, her belief being "Actions speak louder than words" being attached to the hip of the senior, taking care of her when she's sick, or being the number one on the emergency contacts when the troublemaker decides to get shitfaced.

"My head's pounding" Speak of the devil, Soyeon plopped on a seat and groaned while holding her head in pain "That's what you get for deciding to get shitfaced on a school day" Yuqi pushed a bowl of soup towards the blonde girl who shot her a look of gratefulness

This was something that happens often. Soyeon would go out with Soojin and Minnie and would get drunk, she wasn't a stranger to hangovers any longer and Yuqi would always take care of her the next day.

"Why did you drink this time?"

"The usual" The blonde was now in a different position, her head was lying on top of her arm, the other, holding on to Yuqi's arm "I'm starting to think that maybe, it's just not for me" Yuqi frowned and took her hand

"It's their loss they can't appreciate just how much of a catch you are"

"What about you? Why don't you try and go out there instead of cleaning up after me?" Yuqi just let out a small smile "We all know how much of a mess you'll be if I leave you alone"

"What's up losers" A raven-haired beauty plopped on the seat next to Yuqi, who was soon followed by Soojin "You didn't see how much she cried this time"

"Fuck off Soo, I'm over her" Unfortunately, this was another of the common occurrences within their circle. Soyeon would go on dates, fall in love for a bit, and then things would fall apart and Yuqi is left to patch her up all over again

It was tough and painful but the Maltese looking girl is hell-bent on taking care of her friend. She's even lost count of how many times this has happened. By now, she's got Soyeon figured out. She knows every nook and cranny of her personality, every cog all memorized.

"Wasn't the case last night" This time, a new voice joined them? It was Minnie and Miyeon who were holding trays of food "I'm so pathetic" she mocked which earned a round of laughs within the table. Soyeon only grumbled as she was used to her friends but did not miss the way Yuqi squeezed her hand in an effort to provide security and reassurance which made the older girl forget about everything, except for the hand holding hers, and its owner.

Song Yuqi, the girl who has always been there for her.

She's lost count of how many times the younger girl has rescued her when she gets drunk at the bar or when she's sick or just sad. She's there, always one call away

It didn't take long for Soyeon to see her friend in another light... And that scared the shit out of her. Yuqi was like a security blanket, she relieved Soyeon of everything bad in the world with just one touch and she found herself getting addicted. "I hate all of you"

"Even me?" Her eyes automatically found Yuqi who was pouting 'fucking adorable'

"I guess not you since you took care of me" Everyone at the table knows how much chemistry the two girls had. They were always bickering with each other like a married couple but both are daft when it comes to confronting each other. They could only sit back and watch in frustration as Yuqi drew invisible circles on Soyeon's hand as the blonde stared at her in adoration.

It's been a few hours since lunch happened and Soyeon was bored out of her mind. Her hangover was now slipping off being replaced by irritation as the noise around her doesn't seem to die. It was only until two of her favorite people had entered the room, the people around her fell into a hush as they stared at the two beauties. "Feeling better?" it was Yuqi who had asked, her iconic wide smile on display for everyone to see

But if you would stare just a little harder, you would see how soft the younger eyes got when she talked to the grumpy woman in front of her "the soup helped"

"It better had, Yuqi woke up early just to cook you that, y'know" Minnie fixed her bangs as she sat down behind Soyeon's desk. That made the puppy blush "Really? Thanks, Woogi-yah, you take care of me well" Soyeon got up from her seat and placed her arms around the blushing mess. Unknown to Yuqi, the older girl's heart was beating so fast you could easily mistake her as having run a marathon

"Who would look after you if I didn't?"

The professor soon came in and everyone fell quiet as they delved into another lesson about musical composition. "I've taught you all the basics and now, it's time for you to show me your lyrical genius" All of the students groaned at the prospect of another project

"I'm giving you all the liberty of choosing your own genres and subjects. The winner for this project will get to perform their piece during the upcoming prom so better work for it" At the mention of 'Prom' everyone felt alive and hollered. Soyeon looked around but her eyes got stuck to a certain Han girl who was laughing along with everyone.

Her lips curved upwards and wide, eyes forming into two crescents, and a melodious tone dripping out of her mouth like honey. Soyeon has never seen anyone as ethereal as the Chinese girl. Not even when she would go out to social parties with her parents who were always mingling with the upper class.

-flashback-

She remembers how she first met the cute girl. It was at another party of someone influential, she was trying to find Miyeon and Minnie who walked around hand-in-hand, introducing themselves to businessmen and their sons, trying to see if they could get a quality partner

'Still, in denial, they're definitely gay as hell for each other'
