"Were you drinking?" Soyeon froze, of all the ways the awkward silence could be broken, Yuqi just had to choose that question "I'm not going to scold you... let's drink" Soyeon frowned but went ahead and grabbed a couple of bottles of soju before settling them down in front of the younger girl. Yuqi wasn't the type to ask people out to drink. She had always been a foodie and only drank on social occasions. "Will you tell me what's wrong?"
Yuqi only grabbed a bottle and took a swig, making herself comfortable on the couch. Soyeon sat across from her before deciding that the girl needed comfort so she occupied the space next to her. "I will, just not now" that was all she needed to know
She was drinking and writing in her room/studio when she heard the doorbell ring but thought that it was probably a drunk person who got the wrong unit when the doorbell rang a couple more times, she saw Yuqi on the screen before rushing to let the girl in. "You didn't walk all the way here did you?" the puppy chuckled before shaking her head no. "No, a friend drove me since I couldn't find the others or shu"
"You could've just texted me to get you" The older girl's eye softened as she observed the girl beside her. There were tear tracks on her cheeks, her make up was a little messy and there was redness on her neck that Soyeon couldn't explain "Wanna watch something?"
"Okay"
Soyeon knew better than to pry for more answers, she was just glad that the girl was safe and came to her, although still bothered at the state of the younger girl and what could've possibly happened.
After binge-watching the episodes of Jujutsu Kaisen, the pair fell asleep on the couch, Yuqi was snuggled against the blonde girl whose arm was draped protectively on the han girl's waist. She had gotten drunk and Soyeon was also tipsy to carry the girl to her messy bedroom so she opted to just make the couch comfortable and grabbed a pillow and a blanket before settling beside the brunette
She had gotten up first too and she gasped at the sight beside her, Yuqi had a bruise on her neck as well as her arms and Soyeon feared the thought that was forming in her head but she ignored it, for now, Yuqi will explain when she's ready. Right now, Yuqi was her priority (she always has been) So she got up as quietly as she could in order not to disturb the sleeping cutie who was now snuggled into the blanket and set off to cook breakfast in the kitchen.
Once breakfast was cooked, Soyeon took the liberty of washing up first and prepared a set of clothes for Yuqi and medicine for the impending headache from the hangover she was about to experience from drinking all of those bottles. The girl then took her phone and shot a text
Soyeon: Did something happen last night?
Soojin: Nothing out of the ordinary, Is something wrong?
Soyeon: nbd just wanted to know
Looks like she'll just have to wait for the giraffe to wake up and start telling what happened.
It took a couple of minutes before the brunette girl stirred in her sleep and woke up complaining about the pounding ache in her head until Soyeon handed her the medicine along with a glass of water "That was the first time I saw you get shitfaced" the older girl chuckled, trying to make light of the atmosphere
"Never again" was the only thing Yuqi grumbled before snuggling back to the blanket in hopes to calm the raging headache she was having, thank the universe she didn't feel nauseous though
"I cooked breakfast, you might want to take a shower first, the clothes are on the bed" Yuqi nodded and obeyed, leaving Soyeon alone in the living room
