''hyewon..." she muttered as she smiled and stared at my glassy eyes. her breath is shaking and her hand caresses my cheek.
"no! y/n don't give up!'' i screamed.
''i-i can't... hold it... anymore...'' she spoke out slowly as her eyes were about to close.
''just wait baby! an ambulance will be here in any minute!" i cried.
''h-hey, d-don't cry... '' she said, brushing away my tears and caressing my cheek. i hold her hand tightly and put it on my cheek.
''don't leave me y/n. y-you promised to marry me tomorrow, right? we will have kids and have a happy family...''
''i know... and i'm sorry... I have to break the promise... '' she said, nearly closing her eyes.
''no! y/n! don't close your eyes! y/n! '' i shouted and shake her, trying my best to not make her eyes close.
''i'm sorry..." she stops me from shaking her body. "i love you... kang hyewon..." she closes her eyes.
''no! y/n! wake up!'' i leaned my head on her chest. no heartbeat can be heard. my heart sank as i start to cry harder than before.
"no!!! y/n!!" i shout my heart out.
''No!'' i wake up and find myself on my bed. i sigh and shake my head. "another dream again..."
i go to the toilet to wash my face and take a deep breath. i stare at my reflection in front of the mirror and let out a soft sigh.
''why are you always appearing in my dream, y/n?''
''it's been 3 years... '' i cried as i fall to my knees and lean on the wall.
''i miss you, baby... ''
- flashback -
i was having a date with y/n that day. i was very happy and excited because tomorrow we will get married.
after settling about my gown. i begged her to go to the cafe to eat something. that time I was craving cakes.
We were about to take an order but suddenly, three thieves get into the cafe with a gun on their hands.
''EVERYONE DON'T MOVE!'' one of the thieves warned while showing his gun.
y/n pull me in her arms as i burst into tears, terrified if both or between us will gonna get shoot by one of them.
a lady is sobbing while holding her belly. her other child was crying while hugging her. she tried to calm her child down but...
''make your freaking child stop crying or i'll shoot all of you! '' one of them aim the gun at them.
her child still won't stop crying and the robber was about to shoot them.
y/n was about to go to them but i stop her. ''y/n! no!'' i whisper yell at her as my hand held her wrist tightly.
''i need to save them, hyewon! there's a baby in her belly!'' she gets free from my grip and runs to them.
the thief fired three shots. i flinch and fall to my knees. when i turn to look at y/n. i saw she was laying on the floor. unconscious. blood coming out from the side of her waist.
"everyone... leave... " she grunts. everyone starts running to save their life, leaving y/n and me alone in the restaurant.
''fuck! we need to run! Let's go!'' the robbers ran away to escape from the police.
''y/n!!'' i shouted her name while sprinting toward her. i softly put her head on my lap as she grunts and coughs out blood.

i stare at my picture with y/n, having a night date on my birthday. i start to sob and zoom into y/n face. i miss her smile. the smile that could lighten my day without trying.

then, i received a notification from someone. it was eunbi, her sister.
