Adrien's POV:

I, Adrien Agreste, can not understand it.

I dated Chole for a few years.

I recalled she left town for a year around the senior year in high school.

I know her parents had their issues.

I respected her.

I liked her.

I got back with her in the junior year of college.

I was about to purpose.

I know it has been years.

Adrien's POV:

I got a phone call that ruined it all.

What happened to us?

I listened as Chole told me that she thought we were a mistake.

I got no answers as to what went wrong.

I dropped the ring box in sheer denial.

I must have made her angry.

Adrien's POV:

I know she had a new job,

I supported her when some man hired her as his secretary.

The thing seemed legit to me.

It was never something I questioned.

A few months ago, I noticed we drifted apart.

I remembered Chole texted to cancel our lunches together.

I noticed she worked out of town more times than I could count.

What did I do wrong?
