Chapter 57

   Marinette's  (Ladybug's) POV:

    I  got up all excited about today.

   To say it was special would be an understatement.

   Today is the day I will meet Chat Noir.

 Is the homemade pink mask with white polka dots too much?

   I had not asked him if he was wearing a mask.

   Well, I still plan to wear it.

  Alya thinks I am nuts for going in disguise, especially since the whole point is to reveal who we are.

    I know, but part of me hopes he will like me enough to wait before he removes my face mask, while another part hopes he will remove it immediately.

        It is not like I am going to the jailhouse to pick out an inmate for a date. 

It is Chat, my newfound friend in the singles chat room we are talking about here.

    In the Chat room...

"Chat, it is only hours away til we meet."

  "Yes, Ladybug, it is love." 😍

      "I am nervous."

     "Nervous about what?"

     "I am not sure, but my best friend says I am crazy to worry because you are smitten with me."

        "Ha, ha, your best friend sounds like a genius."

         "Well, she is an ex-reporter and journalist, but currently, she is busy writing the script for a new TV series."

          "Wow, she sounds like a real fire pepper there."

            "Funny, she happens to have red hair because her once brown hair turned red gradually over time."

                "Ladybug, I hope it does not trouble you that I plan to wear a mask."

                 "I am relieved because I plan to wear a mask too."

                    "Cool."  😍

        Adrien texts her next.

     "Hi, Marinette."

     "Hi, Adrien."

      "Is something wrong?"

      "No, it is just this friend of mine who is meeting another friend today, and he tries to act all chill about it."

   "Deep down, I know he is nervous."

        "By friend, I suppose you mean Chat."

        "Yes, and he is meeting you."

         "I know."

       "So, chat is nervous about meeting me?"

     "Yes, but don't tell him I said so."  

         "I won't."

        "Marinette, what if he is not who you expected?"

        "What do you mean, Adrien?"

         "I mean, what if he is hideous?"

" What if he has millions of worts on his face, an unseemly freckle above his left eye, or he is married and has not told you?"

          "Adrien, that is not funny."

 " I am sure Chat is not married, and he can't be hideous."

             "Okay, but he still is not sure you will show up."  Adrien face palms himself and thinks why did I let that slip out?

               "Tell him I have every intention of showing up."

              "He is relieved to hear it."

         Back to the Chat room...

    "Ladybug, could we meet earlier than 3 pm?"

     "Chat, the baby is already at the sitter's, and I suppose I could arrive earlier."

     "What time did you have in mind?"

          Chat looks at the clock and smirks.

          "Say, 11:35 am?"

            "Okay, I could make it work, and I will see you then."

           "Yeah, see you then, Ladybug."😍

               "I will bring an umbrella cause it looks like rain."

                "How pawsome of you."   I shook my head.

                I  put on my some pink rain boats since he mentioned rain.

               How should I do my hair?

              I decided to braid it and then style it in a bun.

               Why does it seem like something is missing?

  I added a pink bandana that has white polka dots around the bun.

                I checked the time, only 10:35 am. What should I do before it is time to meet him?
