     Marinette's (Ladybug's) POV:

I was shocked at his confession.

I did not suspect he knew.

I heard him whisper, "I am sorry, Marinette."

I did not say a word.

I listened as he read a  letter.

I saw his eyes full of anticipation like he expected me to respond as he finished.

I saw him shake, but it wasn't from the cold. I knew it was fear.

I  watched him sit at the table.

I could tell he thought I had made my exit.

   I  sat beside him.

I did not say a thing.

   How could I?

All this time, he knew I was Marinette.

It must have been hard for him not to tell me before today.

I smiled. I knew who he was.

At least, I thought I did.

I sure hoped it was him.

Somehow, over time I wished it was him.

I did not want it to be anyone else.

I  longed to have him kiss me again.

Why did he have to be so stubborn?

I mean, he knew it was me so why bother with stopping me from taking off my mask?

I saw him place his head on the table and heard the sobs.

     He was crying.

He thought my silence meant that I pushed him away.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

I was surprised that was all.

Surprised he was all I ever hoped for and needed.

I  couldn't let him mourn something that was not broken.

   How could I fix it?

    Hmm, what should I do?

I sent a quick message to Alya.

Alya...it is me, Chat is over here crying like a baby. What do I do?

I heard my phone buzz.

  Boy, that was fast.

...Alya's text...

Girl buckle down and tell him you love him.

Kiss him if you have to, but tell him.

I blushed.

I knew then what I had to do.

I  placed a hand on his cheek.

I  slowly rubbed my fingers across his neck.

  I felt him relax.

I  saw him lift his head and look at me.

   "Y-you are still here?"

    "Yes."

"But I thought that..."

"Shh, don't be silly, I love you."

I kissed him this time. I felt him wrap his arms around my neck as he gave into the kiss.

I saw a single tear fall from his eye as he kissed me.

I felt him pull away with his arms still around me.

  "M-Marinette?"

I nodded.

I felt him slowly remove the mask.

I  blushed as he spoke, "I love you. I love you, Marinette."

"Yes, and I love you too."

I  reached up and slowly removed his mask.

I saw him turn away. It was as if he was still unsure.

"Please, don't look away from me, Adrien," I said softly.

I was happy it was him.

Somehow despite everything I knew it couldn't be anyone else.

"Adrien, I love you," I muttered.

He turned to look at me with all the love in the world.

I felt him place a hand on my waist and the other on my face.

      I could not move.

If I did I was sure I would melt.

"M-Marinette, my Marinette, I promise I will not make you feel unloved ever again."

"I know because I feel the same about you. Adrien, oh, Adrien."

Adrien picked me up and spun me around.

        I laughed.

      "You have a cute laugh."

       I blushed.

"So, darling, how soon shall we meet again?"

"I work from home now, and my schedule is flexible so tomorrow?"

       "Tomorrow is just fine."

"You know what else is fine, Marinette?"

"No, but I am sure you will tell me."

       "You are my lady."

        "So are we together now?"

"Do you want to be, Marinette?" I felt him bop my nose playfully.

    "Yes."

"Alright then, Marinette will you be my girlfriend?"

 "Yes, Adrien."

The next day, true to his word, Adrien came by and fixed dinner.

I know it was the most ideal date, but I did not care as long as I got to spend time with him.

Alyno cued at him. So sweet.
