Eleanora had almost forgotten how happy staying at the Burrow made her while she had been at her mum's, but it all came back in those few weeks at the end of the summer. Obviously the best part was getting to spend everyday with Fred and George, but she was also happy to help Mrs. Weasley with chores and to spend dinners helping Harry explain muggle life to Mr. Weasley. Fred and George had also filled her in on how odd Percy was acting. "Bet he's got a girlfriend," she'd said, laughing at their incredulous reactions.
"Percy? With a girlfriend?" Fred cried, wide-eyed.
"Have you met him, El?" asked George.
She was also pleased when Ginny came to her with all of her questions about Hogwarts. She'd almost forgotten she was eleven this year and would be joining them at school. She was excited to have another girl around to help keep the boys in line.
One morning, Eleanora woke up on the floor of the twins room. She picked herself up and looked around, trying to remember falling asleep on top of a pile of George's clothes. Someone had put a blanket over her and the twins were strewn haphazardly across their beds. Ah, that's right. They'd figured out a new formula for fireworks that were louder and longer lasting than ever. Eleanora had stayed in the twins room late testing them, eventually falling asleep where she'd been sitting on the floor. She grabbed George's ankle from where she was sitting and pulled him off his bed onto the floor next to her.
"Ouch! Oh- Nora!" he protested, pushing her over.
She rolled back onto the pile of clothes she'd fallen asleep on. "Get Fred up, will you?" she said, pulling on one of the sweaters strewn across the floor.
They trooped down to the kitchen just as Ron, Harry and Ginny were opening their Hogwarts letters.
"You've got them too" Mr. Weasley said, handing the twins and Eleanora their letters. They ripped them open and there were a few minutes of silence in which they all read.
Fred leaned over Eleanora's shoulder when he'd finished reading his own list, then peered over at Harry's. "You've been told to get all Lockhart's books, too!" he said. "The new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher must be a fan- bet it's a witch."
"Bet she'll get along really well with Eleanora," said George. Eleanora stepped hard on his foot at the same time as the twins caught their mother's eye.
Fred busied himself with the marmalade and George sat down, grabbing a piece of toast. "That lot won't come cheap," he said, with a quick look at his parents. "Lockhart's books are really expensive..."
"Well, we'll manage, I expect we'll be able to pick up a lot of Ginny's things secondhand," said Mrs. Weasley, looking slightly worried. Eleanora was oblivious, laughing as Harry asked if Ginny was starting school that year and Ginny blushed so hard her skin matched her flaming hair.
