Mio POV

When class started, Kuro-Sensei used his speed to make clones to teach each of us individually. The afterimage teaching me had a headband saying focus. Probably because I'm usually very spaced out. Part of his head had a dent in it as he told Karma to stop holding his knife up.

"SEE! You're not even focusing right now"!

"You just got stabbed by Karma, how could I"?

This would be a long day. "Kuro-Sensei, I focus when I have to. Right now I don't need to," I said with a blank face causing him to try to lecture me again as I just drew for fun. That and got to level up with the daily spin.

This was a similar picture to the next day, but this time there were more clones. When the bell rang, he was on the floor panting. The class surrounded him as they talked. I just continued on my drawing. Maybe I should try to write a book in this world too?

My thoughts were interrupted by a scary-looking Kuro-Sensei telling us all to go to the schoolyard. When we got there, I stood next to Karma as Kuro-Sensei started his rant, even asking Irena and Karasuma about the assassination to prove his point about having a second blade while creating a tornado. As I was being blown back, Karma pulled me closer by my waist. I looked down to hide my oncoming blush from him, waiting for the wind to clear. When it did, it revealed Kuro-Sensei had built a new court with a track.

He then went on for a bit about how awesome he was as a superior being before wrapping up his lecture, ending on how he wants all of us to score in the top fifty in the exams or else he'll leave. We had until tomorrow to study. Then, I noticed Karma was still holding my waist. I couldn't help but blush as I said, "Hey Karma? Could... you let me go now"? After he released me, I went and got my stuff from the class before walking out with him. My ears were still a little bit pink from earlier, but it was mostly gone.

"You must be really light to have almost blown away like that huh? Want to go get something to eat?", Karma offered. I slightly nodded in response as we kept walking. On the way, I checked the daily spin with Eon, getting +5 Intelligence points.

"You really do space out a lot huh? Maybe you should've listened to the octopus when he was tutoring you," Karma said while handing me a dango stick. "Mm thanks, but I hate his in-depth ranting," I told him with a cheeky grin. "You hate a lot of things. Speaking of, you never did tell me who you liked," He said as we walked into my house, stopping me in the doorway.

"How about this, If I can beat you on the exams, I don't tell you. If you beat me, I have to tell you. Deal?", I asked. He leaned next to my ear, "Fine," he said before backing away, going home to study. I spent the rest of the day like normal, focusing the most on the homework.

The next day, we were at the main campus for the exam. Sure, it was kinda difficult for normal students, but I have already lived two lives now and learned this stuff. I was the first one done, and would probably have the most accurate score. By the time I was done, the others had just started to get it. The teacher had a look of panic on his face. I simply stayed put to wait for the others to finish.

The results came in. I had gotten 100% on all of the tests. The others though? Not so much. Kuro-Sensei was gloomily staring at the front wall, back turned to us. "I take full responsibility. Clearly, I underestimated the school's dedication to the status quo. Forgive me if I can't bear to face you," Kuro-Sensei said. There was a pause before a knife was thrown at him. "Have it your way," Karma started while walking forward, me right behind him with my paper. "Keep your back turned if you want, just makes it easier for us to sneak up on you," Karma continued. "I am in no mood Karma! This whole situation has me very de-huh?", Kuro-Sensei said as we both put our papers on his desk. Karma had two 98s, two 99s, and one 100, while I had all 100s. "So they added a few questions to the stupid test, big deal, "Karma said. Many students crowded to look at our scores.

"Your method worked like a charm teach. You gave us everything you had, and at the moment of truth, it mattered. So what if the midterms decided to cover new territory? Mio and I were ready. Don't worry though, we're not going anywhere. You see, this is where we belong. The normal class has nothing on the assassination. So, where are you gonna go huh? Where do you belong? Do you plan on using the fact we didn't all make the top fifty as an excuse to tuck your tail and run? Cuz you're not fooling me, I think that you're just scared that one of us is actually gonna kill you," Karma said, gaining a very annoyed Kuro-Sensei. Everyone made fun of him, and he started yelling at them. This only caused us to laugh.

I looked at Karma, seeing him playfully sticking out his tongue at the teachers. I also got the second part of the cure in the daily spin. When we got home, we celebrated by playing video games. Karma was upset that he didn't get to find out who I liked yet, but he dealt with it for now. Later, I made dinner for both of us to eat before starting a movie marathon. I ended up falling asleep halfway through the second movie.

3rd POV

Karma felt a sudden weight on his shoulder and found a mop of fluffy black hair sleeping there.

'It wouldn't hurt to stay over,' Karma thought, continuing the marathon.
