For once, Mondo was gladly doing what Kiyotaka told him to. Which was unusual.

He didn't use his laptop for 8+ hours straight just like how Kiyotaka ordered him to. Well, he still did but he took multiple rests (for the laptop) every couple hours.

He didn't mind sitting there, doing nothing as he waited for the time to pass. He could always easily imagine Kiyotaka in his mind. He didn't know why but the sight of Kiyotaka would always make him feel that the time was passing quickly.

Speaking of Kiyotaka, he hadn't come out of his room since this evening. Had he eaten? Don't humans need food to survive?

Mondo closed the laptop and stood up. He walked over to Kiyotaka's room and opened the door.

There he was on his desk staring at some book. What was so interesting about the book anyways that made Kiyotaka avert his attention from Mondo?

"Kiyotaka."

He didn't respond.

Mondo walked over to him and placed a hand on Kiyotaka's shoulder. He violently jumped in his seat.

He snapped his head towards the hand on his shoulder before slightly tilting his head up to see Mondo, "Oh, Mondo," he let out a tired laugh, "You should knock before entering my room so that you don't keep surprising me."

Mondo could see Kiyotaka's eyebags clearly.

"I already called for you," Mondo argued.

"Really?" he looked back down towards his book, "I apologize. I tend to be unaware of my surroundings whenever I'm studying."

Mondo didn't like how Kiyotaka was staring at the book again. So, he held his chin and turned his head so that he was facing Mondo again.

"Why are ya studying?" he asked.

He stared up tiredly at Mondo, "We all need to study so that-" he yawned, "-we could all improve ourselves to achieve our dreams," his eyes slowly shut before snapping back open, "There's also a test in a few days that I need to prepare myself for."

Mondo was confused, "Why do you need to improve yourself? You're already perfect."

It took Kiyotaka a while before he could process his words. His face immediately went deep red and his tired eyes widened.

Why was he looking at Mondo like that? Mondo wasn't wrong after all. Kiyotaka was the closest person to being "perfect" out of all the people Mondo had known.

"T-thank you… but I am well aware that I'm far from perfect. Everyone told me that ever since I was little…" he sleepily muttered.

"..Who told you that?" Mondo asked. His tone was laced with malicious intent.

Kiyotaka only yawned and got up from his seat, "I think I need to sleep now..." his steps were swayed a bit from his sleepiness and that caused him to trip on Mondo's foot when he was trying to slip past him to go for the light switch.

Mondo quickly caught him and lifted him up.

Who the hell has been degrading Kiyotaka? They must’ve been jealous because they would never be on the same level of perfection as him.

Mondo placed him on the bed. He tucked him in his blanket and went to turn off the lights because he guessed that Kiyotaka would rather sleep with the lights off.

He heard the other man shift and whimpered. Mondo turned to check on him and saw that he was still asleep.

He silently stared at the sleeping man. Why does he do that? He whimpered a lot in his sleep.
