Back To Work

Mia's P.O.V

I woke up seeing Danny was still asleep, I smiled and quietly got out of bed and got dressed. I went downstairs to see Grace eating a bowl of cereal, when she saw me she smiled,

Grace:"Morning mom, glad your home."
Me:"Morning sweetie, me too. Sorry if I scared you."
Grace:"Its okay, somehow I knew your still alive."
Me:"Thinking of you and your dad is what kept me alive."

She got down off the stool and hugged me, I heard footsteps and looked behind me to see Danny who was already dressed for work. I smiled and he hugged us,

Grace:"Can we have a family dinner tonight?"
Me:"Of course kiddo."
Danny:"That sounds nice."
Grace:"Your going to work?"
Me:"Yea."
Grace:"Can grandpa John watch me?"
Me:"Of course."

Danny nodded and called my dad. I ate an apple while making coffee, I heard the front door open and I froze, I started to go into defense mode when I heard familiar voices, I turned to see Danny motioning someone to walk to the kitchen so my eyebrow rose, I started to smile when I saw the team.

Danny:"Look."

They all looked over to see me and Konos mouth dropped,

Chin:"Mia?"
Me:"Hey guys. Miss me?"
Kono:"It is you!"

She ran over and hugged me,

Kono:"How?"
Me:"Had to kill my way out.."
Kono:"So their both?"
Me:"Yup."
Chin:"Glad to have you back."
Me:"Its good to be back."
Danny:"Mia's the boss again."
Chin:"Danny you did great being boss."
Me:"Why don't you take over for awhile?"
Danny:"Why?"
Me:"I want to see you being the boss."
Danny:"Fine but only for today."
Me:"Works for me."
Kono:"Is Mia coming back to work?"
Danny:"Yea, she doesn't want to wait."
Kono:"Yep thats definitely our Mia."

We all laughed and I shook my head, dad and Steve walked in.

John:"Good they know your back."
Danny:"Only ones left is Luke and Lina to find out."
Steve:"Well I talked to Luke awhile ago, their supposed to be in town to see how Danny's doing."
Danny:"When are they supposed to be here?"
Steve:"In four hours."
Danny:"Alright well let's get started on the case."

Grace hugged Danny and I then we all headed to HQ.

-At HQ-

I looked over the progression of the case the team has been working on while I was gone, it surprises me they haven't finished it yet.

Me:"How long have you guys worked on this case?"
Danny:"Ever since we made the trade.."
Me:"Hmm."
Danny:"What?"
Me:"Let me see that picture again?"
Danny:"Do you enjoy looking at chopped up bodies?"
Me:"No, but you guys obviously missed something."
Danny:"Huh?"

I saw the confusion on Danny's face then sighed as I took the picture out of his hand, I looked at the picture closely then scrunched my face,

Danny:"Cute when you make that face but during a situation like this, not so much."

I rolled my eyes and laid the picture on the desk,

Steve:"What?"
Me:"This is probably not a long shot of a question but, did you guys even noticed the little pieces missing from each body part?"
Danny:"What?"

I pointed towards the picture causing all four of them to look closely, then I heard a loud 'ah' as they spoke in union.

Danny:"This is why you lead the team."
Me:"Well obviously but still, hold on."
Danny:"What do you mean hold on?"

I sat down at the computer and started typing away like no tomorrow, all four stood there watching what I was doing, I stopped when I found the article I was looking for,
