What a View

Danny's P.O.V

It's been a few weeks since Mia and I last saw Steve. Even though she doesn't show any emotions about it I know she's worried especially since he hasn't called her not even once. I looked through the sliding back door seeing Mia sitting there smoking her morning cigarette, I smiled and glanced around since the house is quiet. Grace is at school, John has his own place now, not too far from us which is fine with me. I rather him be close then far away and Mia actually lose him this time. I poured two glasses of orange juice and walked out back,

Me:"Here."
Mia:"Thanks babe."

I smiled and handed her a glass then sat down taking a drink as I looked out towards the ocean.

Me:"You know, it's been awhile since we've spent some quality time together."
Mia:"Yea it has, I called Chin earlier letting him know we might not be in today."
Me:"You did?"-I chuckled-
Mia:"I did. So what did you have in mind for us to do today?"
Me:"Well, I was actually thinking we could go on a hike? Or something."
Mia:"A hike sounds nice. What made you decide on that? Your not much of a nature kind of guy."
Me:"Yea I know but, I figured I could use some fresh air as well as yourself."
Mia:"Okay, yea we can do that."
Me:"Good, I'll give Komokono a call since he got his pilot license."
Mia:"Oh god. Who let him pass?"
Me:"I'm actually not sure. But he can't be that bad."
Mia:"Yea okay let's put our lives in Komokono's hands while he's flying."
Me:"I can't tell if your being serious or sarcastic."

Mia rolled her eyes and put her cigarette out.

Mia:"Just call him, I'm going to get dressed."
Me:"Okay, I love you."

Mia stood up and leaned down kissing me then stood up,

Mia:"I love you more."

I smiled and scrolled through my contacts and clicked on Komokono's number.

Mia's P.O.V

After I got dressed I slid on my shoes and grabbed my phone off the table by my side of the bed. I smiled and walked back downstairs, through the kitchen and out the back door seeing Danny was still sitting there.

Me:"You going to get dressed or go like that?"
Danny:"I'll get dressed just enjoying the breeze."

I smiled more and sat back down in the chair I sat in earlier, lighting up a cigarette as Danny's phone rang. He looked at me then answered it,

Danny:"Mia, you think it's a good idea to let Grace stay the night at her friend Ashley's house?"
Me:"Isn't she at school? Why she calling you now? But yes that's fine with me hun."

He smiled and told Grace she could. He hung up the phone shaking his head,

Danny:"It's a school night so she should be lucky."
Me:"Yea but babe, at least she's making friends."
Danny:"Yea, I just don't want her growing up a lonely kid."
Me:"That isn't going to happen."
Danny:"Yea? How?"
Me:"Who knows, we may have a kid together one day."

Danny's smile got bigger as his eyes shined.

Danny:"Yea that would be great."
Me:"It would but now is not the time, still I wouldn't mind it th-"

I stopped when my phone rang, I looked to see Lina was calling me, Danny chuckled and nudged me to answer so I did,

Me:"Hey there."
Lina:"Hey girly, you and Danny aren't busy are you?"
Me:"We were going on a hike but haven't left yet, why what's up?"
Lina:"Y'all mind for two more to tag along?"
Me:"Are you guys in town?"
Lina:"Yea, it's just me and Luke."
