Half-asleep, I got that unnerving feeling that someone was watching me. My eyes immediately opened, and my eyes landed on some blonde woman sitting a few meters away. As soon as she saw that I noticed her, she averted her eyes and readjusted her glasses. I sat up straight, feeling a sharp pain in my body. And that's when I felt a new bandages on my arm. I also couldn't help but notice the large handcuff's that were secured tightly on my wrists. I couldn't help but scoff.

These weren't your normal handcuffs. They were very thick and heavy, and a soft blue light emitted from the insides of the cuffs. I could barely wiggle my hands in it, my wrists almost felt claustrophobic from how tight it was. But when I could still feel my powers surge through my body, meaning whatever these cuffs were had no use.

I shake my head awake, also trying to get a strand of hair out of my face before trying to examine these new handcuffs. "They're meta-cuffs," said the blonde woman. I looked up at her, trying to register what she just said. My brows knitted in confusion.

"Huh?"

"Meta-cuffs. They're meta-cuffs. You know, handcuffs for meta humans?"

"Meta humans?" I noticed the more we were talking, the farther I was leaning towards the woman, curious to know what she was talking about. But she was talking to me as if I knew what she was saying.

At this point, my head is leaned against the bars of the cage. As I sit uncomfortably in my spot, I listen to the woman speak, who I realized was the only person in the room watching over me.

"Yeah, you know, those people with powers. Like you," At that, she pointed at me. And I was very taken aback by her comment. She had no idea, did she?

"Okay, woah, first of all, you're wrong. I'm not a meta-human. Second of all, why am I in this human-sized cage?"

Before the woman could respond, a little man wearing a scary-looking hockey mask walked in, looking at both me and the woman before responding, "Because you scare Mr. Arrow Man."

I laughed. "Me? I scare the Green Arrow? That's funny because the last I checked, you were the ones who kidnapped me, remember? Like knocking me unconscious, shooting arrows at me, and some man with rags chasing after me? I was minding my own business before you guys just had to intervene in my life. So I don't understand why he's scared."

"He's not scared," the woman said to guy in the hockey mask, but he shrugged. "There's no way." The guy turns back to me.

"I don't know, Hoss, the way he talks about you, he acts as if you're the devil or something."

"Wow, really reassuring, thanks." I'd cross my arms in protest but I couldn't exactly do that while handcuffed, so I just sigh loudly.

"Are you guys seriously talking to the meta?" Another man came in, wearing a black mask in the shape of a T, gotta admit that it looked stupid. "Didnt Oli- I mean, Boss say that we shouldn't talk to him?"

"I'm a not a meta-human," I muttered.

"He says he's not a meta, so I don't know," the woman said, shrugging, leaning back into her chair.

"And you guys believe him? Don't believe words that come from the mouths of people in our cage, guys, I thought this was simple logic. Besides," The weird T guy turned to me. "If you aren't a meta human, how do you have powers?"

I blinked at him, unsure on how to reply to his answer. I wish I had a quick mind like Annabeth who's able to make up lies like this on the spot.

"Ah, hah! Can't even answer the question."
