"Zack?" my mom looked up at the small boy, "I told you to stay in your room."

"Sorry mommy, but I got too curious," he shrugged his shoulders and smiled.

"Zack," I stared at him, "tell them about Techno!"

"What about him?"

"How does he know who-"

"Wasn't he a good person?" I cut off my dad.

"Uh, yeah he seemed to be."

"Exactly!" I pointed to my baby brother and looked at my parents.

"I feel like I need to be part of this matter," Zack stood up and began to walk down the steps.

"That's not necessary."

"It is dad, I don't want Techno to be accused of being a bad person."

The next thing I knew, Zack was standing in front of me as if he was blocking me from my parents.

"I like Techno, he's real nice."

I put my hands on his shoulders and nodded.

"Yeah," I looked up at my parents, "he's my friend."

"Ok, then what happened to you?"

I felt Zack shuffle and look at me, he expected an answer too.

I took my hands off his shoulders and looked at every one of my family members.

"I fell down a hill," I crossed my arms, trying my hardest to look confident.

"I was sitting in a tree and the branch broke..."

"The tree was on the side of the hill, so when I fell of the tree..."

"I stumbled down the hill."

Zack raised a brow.

"So why didn't you tell anyone about it?" Dad looked at me.

"I was skipping class at the time," the best excuse I have is throwing myself under the bus.

"I'm gonna head upstairs now."

I walked away from the couch.

"Aren't you going to eat supper, it's ready now."

"I'm not hungry, mom."

I walked up to my room and slammed the door behind me before locking it.

I jumped in my bed and looked up at the ceiling.
