Nailea's pov
The next day
After the whole scene with Vinnie she didn't know who she would hang out with. She thought all his friends sided with him and that they wouldn't want to be around her until she got a message from their group chat that the girls had

Maddy- hey nai you coming over? We thought you would be over for breakfast
Dezi- yea we were all waiting for you. Vinnie kinda started to get nervous for you.
Nai- uhh did you guys forget me and Vinnie aren't ig together right now
Dezi-I mean yes we all know but you're still in our friend group.
Maddy- oh yea for sure I don't want you guys thinking we are choosing sides. We are all still a friend group and that isn't gonna change
Nai- thanks guys
Dezi- so you coming over or what?
Nai- ok ig
Maddy- yay thank you

Nailea started to think

They walk into the kitchen every one is spread out some sitting on the chairs or some just sitting on the counter

She looks around and her eyes finally meets vinnies
Vinnie: hey ba- I mean Nai- uh Nailea?
He says confused not knowing what to call me

She laughs Trying to relax him not
wanting him to feel uncomfortable.
Dezi; so what should we do today?
J: what if we chill today?
Jordan: I'm down
Vinnie: that's fine with me. Girls?
Dezi: good idea
Maddy: ok
Nailea was on her phone
Vinnie: Nai?
Nailea's head goes up
Nailea: what? My bad
Vinnie: uh is it fine if we just chill?
Nai: yea sure

Everyone was pretty uncomfortable with how they would talk to each other. Like if they just met and they're both shy.
Dezi: look guys I love you but just talk to each other like normal friends
Vinnie: we aren't friends.
Nai: what?
She says with a worried face
Vinnie: hey hey hey remember you said a break on a break up.
Nai: got a point there.
Dezi: ok so then why are you guys being weird
Vinnie: I mean we aren't going to pretend that nothing happened yesterday but i guess you're right.

After a while of them just in the living room some of them taking naps and others on their phones Nailea asks
Nailea: hey josh asked if we would come over to a party tomorrow
Vinnie: josh?
Nailea: uh yea why?
Vinnie: didn't know you he had his number
Nailea: oh well we have mutual friends so...
Vinnie: ohh
Dezi: uh anyways yea that would be fine
Nailea: ok I'll let him know
Vinnie: so at this party are we technically single or still in a relationship?
Nailea: I mean I said we were on a break remember you even said that
Vinnie: I mean there will be girls there.
Nailea: yea I know?
Vinnie: so I can't kiss them or anything
Nailea knew his game in making her mad
Nai: I mean if you want. I guess I can explore too. Maybe josh. I know he's had eyes for me but he's never made a move.
Vinnie: ohh really
Nai: yea he wanted to respect our messed up relationship. Isn't he such a good guy maddy.
Maddy: I know super respectful
She says playing along with nai's game
Vinnie: nice to know
Dezi: you guys said a break.
Nai: yes that's what we are on
Dezi well why are you trying to make each other jealous?
Vinnie: we aren't. We are just going over our boundaries.
Nai: yes because let's remember we are on a break
She tell dezi
Dezi was now happy with her friend and her brother.

Later on the boys wake up and nai tells them about the party
Nai: so Tomorrow we are going to joshs party
J: who's josh
Vinnie: this guy that has had eyes for Nailea supposably.
Nai: just has
Vinnie: what?
Nai: you said has had. He still does
Vinnie: and how do you know that?
Nailea: I can show you the messages if you would like.
Vinnie: no no it's fine
He smiles
J: guys stop being immature. I understand you want to make each other jealous but you know it's not going to work and you guys are just gonna have sex even if you aren't together.
Nai: whatever. Ima go home. I'm done with this for today
Maddy; bye Nai drive safe
Vinnie follows her out
Nai just looks back at him weirdly
Vinnie: cmon let's just talk.
Nai; uh ok bye guys!
She says once more

Vinnie: look what I said back there about the girls and stuff I shouldn't have said that and I know you told me what I deserved to be told. Just wanted to let you know I'm not actually planning to be with any other girl that isn't you.
Nai: you really think I would go for josh?
Vinnie: maybe
Nai: ew no absolutely not. I only want you and I know we age only been dating bit for a year yet but I still love you and even with the arguments still made good memories
Vinnie: and we will make even more when we are officially back together. And no more of that toxic shit.
Nai: are you telling yourself or?
Vinnie: yes
He laughs
They look at each other's lips then they look back at each other's eyes and kiss.
Nai: this doesn't seem like a break to me.
Vinnie; it's a break not a break up remember that!
He says walking back towards the house.

Nailea laughs and gets in her car.
Vinnie goes all the way inside once he sees that she drove off
J: that doesn't look like a break to me!
Vinnie: it doesn't look like you should've dropped out of high school but look at you now.
Everyone just gives J a smirk knowing that it would probably make him a little mad

They go to bed after 12 am

Sorry for a short chapter. I write these the day before I post them which is usually the night time and I'm always exhausted. But I do it because I see I'm actually getting reads so thank you guys!!!!
