Nailea's pov:

Nai: I'm happy that's the last doctors appointment for this baby
Vinnie: same. No more waking up early.
Nai: Vinnie.
Vinnie: hm?
Nai: I hope you don't actually think that. The baby is gonna keep us awake all night.
Vinnie: fuckkk I forgot about the baby.
Nai: really.
Vinnie: I don't know I wasn't thinking. It's too early to think
Nai: anyway. Im also happy the baby is in the position she needs to be in. Head down.
Vinnie: yea. Saves you a lot of nervousness.
Nai: yup.

2 weeks later.

Im rearranging the baby's room in vinnies house.

She's going to have her own room at vinnies house but at mine she's gonna share my room until I can move out.

Vinnie: so where do you want this?

He asks pointing to her dresser.

Nai: in the corner please.
She says moving a box that had her changing table in.

Vinnie: Nailea stopping moving those boxes. They're heavy.
Nai: Im fine Vinnie.
Vinnie: just listen.

After a while Nailea feels tired and sits down on one of the boxes.

She lets out a breathe from being out of breathe.

Vinnie: you good babe?
He says looking up from his phone.

Nai: yea. Just got tired. And my back hurts like a bitch
Vinnie: just sit there I'll do the rest.
He says rubbing her shoulders
Nai: no. I can't let you do it on your own.
Vinnie: I'll ask J or dezi when they get back home.

Nailea gets up and feels something wet on her legs. She looks down and sees that the floor is soaked.

Nai: vinnie. I need you to stay calm ok?
Vinnie: why?
Nai: my water just broke.
Vinnie: what?! Uh ok. Um what do you need.
Nai: just grab the bag in your room. It has the baby's things and the things we need as well.
Vinnie: ok.

As Vinnie rushes to do that Nailea slowly walks downstairs.

Vinnie: ok you ready?
He asks walking down the stairs.

Nai: yea.

They walk to the car and Vinnie starts to drive.

Vinnie: you ok baby? No pain yet?
Nai: I'm ok baby. Don't worry I don't have any big contractions yet.

They arrive the hospital and they check in. A nurse walks in and checks the baby.

Nurse: hello. I'm going to do a quick ultrasound to see the baby and to hear the heartbeat to make sure everything is doing good.
She says nicely.
Nai: ok sure.
She says nervous but also excited.

The nurse applies the gel and takes a look.

Nurse: And you're in here for a c-section?
Nai: uh no?
She says confused.
Nurse: uh well it's showing the baby is head up.
Nai: what? They checked. They said she was fine and in the right position.
Nurse: she's perfectly good just she isn't in the right position.
Vinnie: What does that mean regarding giving birth?
Nurse: well we're going to have the doctor consult with you but we might have to do an emergency c-section. Or we can try to flip the baby but it's a very painful process.

When Nailea received the news she got nervous.

Minutes later the doctor comes in.

Doctor: hello. so I heard that the baby is breech.
Nai: yes. But the nurse at the doctors office said everything is ok.
Doctor: I know and I'm so sorry I know this is very nerve wracking for you. But I wanted to give you your options.
Nai: ok sure
Doctor: so we can try and flip the baby. But there's a chance the baby won't move and in that case we will have to for sure do the c-section. It's all up to you. We can do c-section without trying to flip the baby or we can try flipping her.
Nai: um can I think abt it?
Doctor: of course!

The doctor leaves.

Nai: what do I do?
Vinnie: do whatever you feel comfortable doing. You're the one that's gonna be dealing with the pain at the end on the day.

Then Nai's mom walks in.

Nai's mom: hey guys! Nai, Vinnie told me about the baby and your options do you have your decision set?
Nai: hey mom. I think I'm going to try flipping the baby.
Nai's mom: ok I'll tell the nurse.

Later on the nurse walks in.

Nurse: alright I'm going to ask you to pull up the hospital gown.

Nailea does.

Nurse: ok now I need you to relax and rest your body.

Nailea follows directions.

Nurse: take a deep breathe in...

As she says explains she starts putting pressure on Nailea stomach. Moving her hands.

Nurse: breathe out... breathe in...

Nai moans and grunts in pain.

Vinnie standing beside her holding her hand.

Nurse: almost done I promise.

Nai: ow ow ow! I can't it hurts!!
Vinnie: I know baby it's gonna be over soon.
Nurse: all done sweetie!!
Nai: really?
Nurse: mhm. The baby is in the right position and we will wait for you to start dilating. I'll check on you in a few.

She walks out.

Nai: that hurt like a bitch. I don't know how I'm supposed to actually give birth.
Vinnie: you can do it babe.
Nai's mom: it might seem bad right now but it will be worth it in the end.

She smiles.

Later on nailea's mom has to go back to work and now it's just Nai and Vinnie.

Nai: ow ow ow!!!
Vinnie: what's wrong baby?
Nai: contractions.

She groans

Vinnie: aww baby I'm so sorry.
