Chapter 12

Nicks pov

"Where is she?!" Mr. Nesbitt had finally made it
"She's still back there.." I sighed and saw paparazzi outside
"Well Demi's here." I got up and walked over to the emergency room door.
"Hey! She still not up..?" Demi hugged me as I shook my head
"Nick why are you at the hospital. Nick where's Olivia? Demi do you know what's going on?" Paparazzi shouted and we shut the door.
"So this is her family. Her best friend Aby. Sister Tiffany.. Parents Mr. And Mrs. Nesbitt." I stated and Mrs. Nesbitt hugged me
"Nick call me Julia. Call him Aaron. You don't have to be so formal." She stated and shook Demi's hand
"It's nice to meet you. I've heard so much about you." Demi smiled
"So have I. My daughters are obsessed with you." Julia grinned. They sat talking for a while, Tiffany and Aby were talking. And Mr. Nesbitt and I just sat there.. Until he spoke.
"When's she going to come out.." He whispered
"Hopefully soon.." I mumbled and looked to my phone. Four hours had gone by. Four. And no news on Marissa.

Another hour went by and Dr Kirwin finally came out to us.
"She's finally awake and stable. She's talking. She had an electrolyte crash. We are going to stop chemo. Her body is working against it. We are putting her on three different types of pills.. And she will have surgery to remove the tumor seeing as it's big enough to work with.. She should be perfectly fine when she starts the pills. We will have to do three months on. Two months off. So she will be visiting me in office a lot. But she's good for visitors. So naturally. Her parents first."

Marissa's pov

I had the worlds biggest headache.. Im over hospitals.. Im over doctors. Im over this pain. I looked over to the window, it looked beautiful out.
"Sweetie !" My mom cried and ran to me hugging me tight.
"Ow mom my port.." I sighed and she nodded
"Im so thankful you're okay. Your surgery is tomorrow morning.. Get that stupid tumor out." She cried more
"Mom. I love you." I smiled and kissed her cheek. My dad walked over and hugged me.
"I have to get back to the office. Okay? I love you" my dad kissed my forehead and left the room. Tiffany and Aby walked in as my mom sat by the window
"Hey pretty girl" Tiffany smiled, where was Nick..
"Hey.." I half heartedly smiled back
"Feeling better?" Aby asked and I nodded
"Much better actually.. Thank you guys for being here. But uh I think I need to rest.. I have surgery in the morning. So I'll see you after that.." I sighed and my mom looked to me
"You sure?" She asked and I nodded
"Yeah.." I looked down and she stopped at the door
"I'll send Nick in t-"
"Wait he is here?"
"Marissa he brought you. And has been worried about you. He even has a surprise for you so I thought he should go last.." My mom laughed and I grinned
"I wanna see him.." I whispered and she nodded
"I'll see you before surgery. I love you"
"Love you too mom" I smiled and looked out the window. How could I even think Nick wouldn't come here

Because you're not his girlfriend.

I bit my lip and sat up on the bed. I went to get up when the door opened
"Hello beautiful" his smile was wide

Yet

"Are you okay?" I asked realizing his face was pale and he nodded
"I've been worried.. Don't worry your mom has made me check my blood. Guess she knows a lot by you being here" he smiled
"She has.." I stood and walked to the chair by the window
"I have a surprise for you" he stated and looked to the right, he walked over to me and behind him walk in Demi Lovato.
