A Little Bit Longer

Chapter 2

Nicks pov

I woke up to the sun shining in my face and breakfast being served to every room.

"Room 316 and room 328. Your breakfast" the woman smiled to me but noticed Marissa was still asleep.

"I'll wake her up don't worry" I laughed and walked over to her bed

"Oh hey Demi!" I shouted and Marissa sat up faster than I expected her to and we banged heads.

"Nicholas Jerry Jonas!" Marissa shouted laughing and holding her stomach

"I'm sorry but breakfast is here" I laughed harder and Mrs. Nesbitt walked in.

"Nick! I didn't know you were here!" She ran over and hugged me

"Yeah I'm trying to get out of here like Marissa is" I smiled and sat on a chair.

Marissa's pov

Hours had passed, Nick stayed with me all day and now was the time I hoped the doctors let him stay.

"Alright time to get those staples out!" Dr. Kerwin smiled to me and I took a deep breath

"Yep.."

"Okay everyone time to leave the room"

"Wait uh.. She looks nervous as she always does.. Maybe I can stay?" Nick suggested

"Miss Nesbitt?"

"Him or my mother. Someone please" I tried to not act desperate for him.

"Give Nick your hand I'm going to meet your father downstairs" my mother stated and kissed my forehead

"Don't worry I'm here" Nick smiled and took my hand.

"Okay Marissa ready?" Dr. Kerwin asked and I nodded fast

"Eyes on me." Nick whispered and the first staple came out and was replaced with a sterri strip. Then a couple more.

"Just a few more" I was warned and squeezed my eyes shut

"Open your eyes Marissa" Nick mumbled and I did as I was told

"One more left" I heard my doctor but I was too busy concentrating on Nicks amazing brown eyes.

"Alright all set" my doctor stated and I broke the gaze looking towards my doctor nodding.

"I will be filling out the paperwork with your parents and then you will be out of here to enjoy your twenty first birthday!" He grinned and shook my hand.

"Only one more hour left in this place" I mumbled and looked to Nick.

"Yeah.. Maybe we should actually hang out outside of this place" he stated

"We've said that before. But then I end up back here" I laughed but our conversation was interrupted.

"Nick, you're being released today by 6pm" his doctor, Dr. Martin, stated and Nick nodded.

"Great.. Enough time for Olivia to get press in here." He mumbled

"Want me to stay with you?" I asked before I could stop myself

"Would you?" He asked and I nodded

"Well. Until Olivia wanted me to leave" I laughed and he hugged me.

"Don't worry. She won't."
