Chapter 14

Marissa's POV

I woke up to the sound of the iv
"Good morning Marissa you have visitors" nurse Rebecca smiled to me
"Parents? Sister? Aby? Oh.. Nick." I mumbled with a slight smile
"I'll send them all in your room" she smiled back. Not much later everyone walked in
"Hey how you feeling?" My mom asked
"I feel alright. A little pain.. And kind of tired. But Im alright." I yawned
"Well good news is the tumor is fully out." Aby grinned
"That is really good news." I slightly smiled. Cancer is never fully gone. What started it could be gone. But the disease is never fully gone. You're just stable for a little while. I looked to Nick and he took a deep breath
"Im glad you're feeling alright" he pressed his lips together and my dad kissed my forehead.
"Im glad I am too. Hey, you have an appearance. Go get ready." I stated to Nick and he lightly closed his eyes.
"Joe is staying with you."
"Okay.. But guys Im fine i have doctors and nurses all around me. Go do what you all have to. Aby you're going home to catch up on your schoolwork. You missed so much. Tiff go see your friend.. Mom dad get what you have to done. Nick go to your appearance. Im fine." I stated
"Call me and I'll be here sweetie" my mom kissed my cheek. My dad kissed my forehead again. Aby and Tiffany lightly hugged me.
"Joe will be here in five minutes. Im not leaving until he's here" Nick stated
"Fine. What's wrong?" I asked, he was staying at the edge of my bed. He didn't come over and hug me or anything.
"You just had a major surgery. My girlf- my .. My best friend just had major surgery."
"You can say it." I whispered
"But you didn't want that?"
"I already told you. You're changing my mind. What do you want. Do you want me to be your girlfriend?" I asked and he nodded
"I do. I want you to be my girlfriend. Mine." He sat on the bed.
"Then so be it. But uh you wanna see the new scar?" I bit my lip and he smirked while standing up. Right now felt like old times. I slightly lifted my hospital gown, you could see the hospital pants and it made me laugh. I lowered the pants a little and Nick looked at my incision
"This ones cooler than the last. How many staples this time?" He looked to me
"32. And I can't wait for them to come out."
"I can be here to hold your hand again." He grinned and kissed my cheek
"You just focus on your appearance. Your brother will be h-"
"Marissa!" A voice that wasn't Joe shouted. Nick turned around
"Kevin!?" He ran to him
"Dani is with Alena at the hotel. I had to come here before Joe" Kevin laughed and hugged me slightly.
"How are you feeling?"
"Im feeling well right now. Waiting for Joe, he's my babysitter" I rolled my eyes to Nick
"Where are your parents? I haven't seen them in years!"
"Ah they just left. I made them and my sister and best friend leave because I know they all have things to do" I shrugged
"Okay.. Well seeing as Kevin is here I'll leave... I'll be back in the morning." Nick mumbled and kissed me lightly before he left.
"He's completely head over heels for you." Kevin smiled to me
"And I am for him."

As I promised. Chapter 14 today :) I apologize it's a bit boring. But tomorrow I will be on a plane to Michigan and I will be writing chapter 15 to upload Saturday morning. But for now enjoy :)
