Chapter 15

Nicks POV

About six months passed since Marissa's surgery. Her 22nd birthday is coming up and I was planning a big thing for her. We were officially dating, and her Cancer was under control for the time being.

"Nick!" Aaron called from the living room.
"What's up?" I smiled to him and he handed me plane tickets.
"What's this?" I asked and he just smiled
"Her favorite place on earth is Florida. Two tickets to Orlando Florida. She'll be really happy." He placed them in my hand.
"So one for Her and one for Tiffany?" I asked and he just laughed
"One for you and one for her. You both deserve a vacation"
"Really?!" Thank you so much !" I hugged him.
"oh hey where are Julie and Marissa anyway?" He laughed when I went back to the table to go over the guest list
"They're at Marissa's doctors appointment"
"Ah. Okay well Im going back to the office. Hide those!" He shouted and walked out of the house.

Marissa's POV

"Im glad to hear you're feeling fine! And I see you didn't lose a ton of hair with this new medication. Your hair looks great" my doctor smiled to me
"Thank you! I grew it myself" I laughed, my mom and doctor did as well
"Well I see that! Okay so you're going to be off it for two months. And I'll see you when it's time to start it up again" my doctor hugged me.
"You're a very strong girl. Go enjoy your 22nd birthday Monday" she stated and we left the office.
"Mom can I drive I haven't driven in months!" I begged
"Of course !" She handed me the keys and before we knew it we were off

You got me in chains, you got me in chains for your love but I wouldn't change, no I wouldn't change this love

"Mom it's Nick!!" I shouted and turned up the radio
"It's so cute that you get so excited when he's on the radio" my mom giggled
"Well it's exciting. I mean Im so use to it. But it's still exciting" I smiled to myself and took the turn for my street.
"Mom, I really do love him." I stated and she placed her hand on my arm.
"I know you do. You gotta show him you do." She mumbled, I pulled into the driveway to see his car in front of the house.
"What do you mean.." I took a deep breath.
"Im glad you waited longer than most girls. But he's gotta be the one, you've been best friends.. He's always there.. Unless you've already done stuff and never told me?!" My mom looked to me
"How could I? I was always in the hospital. I .. Maybe I should just keep waiting" I shrugged and got out of the car
"I love that you're so hung up on waiting. But you're going to be 22.. I want you to act your age and live your life. But yeah.. I mean most mothers would be like 'save it for marriage!' But I want you to experience everything. So in due time. When you're ready" she smiled
"Im over this conversation mom" I laughed and opened the door
"Hello?" Nicks voice rang through the house
"Mom and I are home.. What are you doing here?" I asked walking into the kitchen
"Was just writing a song. How was doctors?" He asked and kissed my cheek
"Great! The doctor said she was still perfectly fine!"
"Perfect doesn't exist mom"
"In this moment it does" Nick smiled while pulling me onto his lap
"You turn 22 at midnight" he whispered
"That I do.."
