Chapter 16

Marissa's pov

"Good morning birthday girl" my sister ran in my room
"Good morning Tiff" I smiled
"You have a lot going on today."
"Uh.. I do?"
"Yeah. Denise and Paul are here. Dani Kevin and Alena are here. Joe, Demi, Nick obviously. You have a lot going on."
"When you say here you mean.."
"In our living room ? Yeah." She laughed and walked out of my room. I ran to the bathroom to brush my teeth and I grabbed a change of clothes to rush and get dressed to look presentable. I had only met Denise and Paul three times. All in the hospital and while Nick and I were friends. I met Demi once and in the hospital. I wanted to look pretty for once.. I applied some makeup and put my hair half up half down
"Wow.." I smiled at myself. I felt pretty for once. I bit my lip and grabbed my converse before I ran downstairs.
"Finally" Tiffany laughed
"Oh my god you look so good!" Denise yelled and hugged me
"Thank you" I smiled and Paul gave me a light hug also
"How are you feeling?" He asked as we went to sit down. I ended up sitting between Paul and Denise.
"Im uh.. Im good. I saw the doctor and she said I was doing great." I smiled and looked to Nick. He was holding Alena.
"Oh she's so beautiful" I mumbled and Dani took her from Nick
"You can hold her" she grinned placing Alena on my lap.
"Where's Frankie?" I asked and Joe grinned

Weirdo...

"Oh he's with some friends. He'll be by later." Denise smiled to me
"Oh okay!" I laughed which caused Alena to giggle. She was gripping my index fingers , I looked up at Nick and he smiled to me.
"So you're going to hang out with Dani, Alena and my mom until I call you okay?" Nick asked
"Okay.." I smiled slightly
"Don't worry. It's your birthday I wouldn't blow you off. I spent it in the hospital with you that last few years. Im definitely going to spend it with you now that you're out of the hospital" he smirked and walked over to me
"I promise" he whispered, I forgot everyone was around us as I held onto Alena.
"Alright. Do what you have to" I whispered back and felt his lips connect to mine.
"Alright. I'll give you a call" he pressed his lips to my forehead and then he walked out leaving me with his mom, Dani, and Alena.

Nicks pov

We got to the club and I looked around. It was set up perfectly.
"You're really in love" Demi smiled to me
"I am, I really am.." I looked to Tiffany.
"Alright um.. Tiff can you help Demi set up the stage. And do a quick sound check?" I asked
"Well singings more my sisters thing but sure!" She laughed and they ran to the stage.
"Dad, Joe, can you guys get the boxes of liquor into the bar ?"
"Yeah no problem! Open them too?" My dad asked and I nodded before looking to Kevin
"I need you to help me turn the VIP area into the cake area. And her parents are on their way to set up the food area..." I sighed
"Relax. It's going according to plan already"
