Chapter 5

Marissa's pov

Months had passed. And as usual I was in the hospital. Nick was doing great actually, his cd came out. Chains being the first hit single. And then jealous. He was back with Olivia.. But told me that it was for press because of his song jealous. He had come to visit me every so often but I had made some new hospital friends. One was Aby. She had cerebral palsy and was actually on her way home, another was Erin, and she had Chrons disease.
"Alright Marissa we got your electrolytes under control again. You can go home tomorrow morning. But please try and keep everything under control alright?" My doctor sighed
"Thank you Dr. Kerwin" I smiled and he nodded walking out of my room.
"Marissa I told you you need to keep track of everything you eat and drink now." My mom looked away.
"Im sorry mom!" I took a deep breath and my phone started ringing
"Hello?" I asked
"Hey.. You okay?" It was Nick.
"Im fine. How's the release of your cd going" I looked at the IV in my arm sighing.
"It's going fine.. Are you still in the hospital? I was going to visit"
"I am. I go home tomorrow." I was being short.
"Im on my way. Im going to find out what's wrong with you Marissa Nesbitt"

Nicks pov

"Hey Nick where Ya going?" Joe asked
"Hospital. Marissa's there. I hate that we only see each other in the hospital.." I grabbed my keys
"Then break it off with Olivia again. For real. It's purely business anyway. And I love Marissa" Joe laughed
"I can't date her. She wouldn't go for it.. A..anyway I have to go" I ran to my car and jumped in

I turned down the radio and drove to the hospital, humming my song I want you, immediately stopping and turning up the radio

I smiled and turned it up singing along as I pulled into the parking lot. And hopping out of my car running into the building
"Hey Nick!" A nurse smiled to me
"Hey! What room is Marissa Nesbitt in?" I asked and she looked at her chart
"Room 308. She'll be happy to see you" the nurse grinned AndI ran to the elevator.

iMessage from Liv:
Hey Nick, Im sorry to end this with the whole jealous song going big. But faking a relationship is too hard. Especially since there's someone I really want to be with. I sent a get well card to Marissa knowing she's back in the hospital. So be sure to let her know. Xo

Normal people would be upset. But I smiled and locked my phone hitting the button for the third floor a million times until the door closed. I tapped my foot until the doors opened on the third floor. I ran out and all familiar nurses looked to me as I searched for her room.
"She's not in 308 anymore. She's on the 4th floor.." Nurse Hillary sighed.
"The 4th floor!?" I asked starting to freak out.
"Yes she was suppose to go home tomorrow. But they ran more tests this afternoon. Don't worry she'll be back down here tomorrow evening. Doctors orders. However I could get you to her room. She has a visitor. Her friend Aby is upstairs with her while her mother is getting the full report. So I suppose.. Nick are you okay?" Hillary put her hand on my shoulder and I realized tears were on my cheeks.
"But the 4th floor is the Cancer floor.."
