Chapter 16

Lexa POV

    It was the date of Pike punishment. Lexa and Clarke were asleep in her tent when Lexa heard quiet footsteps coming closer. Lexa opened one of her eyes slightly and saw a woman walking closer with something in her hand.

    Lexa quickly got out of bed, grabbing her knife and putting it to the attackers throat, spinning them so the woman's back was facing her. Lexa saw Azgeda tattoo's on the side of her face and she had dark hair.

"What are you doing here Ontari?" Lexa asked in a low voice. "Drop the knife." Ontari let it go and it landed on the ground. "Answer my question, why are you here?"

"Doing what I was told." Ontari said. "Is Heda sleeping with Wanheda?"

"That is none of your business." Lexa said. "Who sent you?"

"Who do you think." Ontari said, a little too loud.

"If you wake her up there is gonna be a bigger issue." Lexa said. "Walk." Lexa said, making Ontari walk. "Where's Nia?"

"Somewhere." Ontari said.

"I have no problem killing you." Lexa said, as they walked out of the tent.

"Then you won't have answers." Ontari said. Lexa pressed the knife harder against Ontari's throat.

"Where is Nia, is she in Trikru?" Lexa asked.

"Yes and no." Ontari said. "And Skaikru."

"I know you don't like Nia, so help me and we can end this." Lexa said. "You can go back with Roan. Leave your mother behind."

"You know I'll be dead as soon as I see her again if that happens." Ontari said.

"You gave Pike the beetle blood to poison Clarke." Lexa said. "Pike failed so what is your plan now?"

"I have no clue what you are talking about." Ontari said.

Lexa saw Clarke walk outside of the tent. "Clarke do you have handcuffs or something?" Lexa asked.

"Yeah." Clarke walked off.

"So I'm a prisoner now?" Ontari asked.

"I don't feel like talking to you like this." Lexa said.

A few minutes later, Clarke came back and put the handcuffs on Ontari. "Well, good morning." Clarke told Lexa.

Lexa laughed softly. "Good morning." Lexa said. Lexa kissed Clarke's cheek.

"Get a room." Ontari said. Lexa walked Ontari walk to the back of the tent and then made her sit down.

"It's still early so no one in Arkadia should be up yet." Clarke said looking at the sky. "What happened?"

"She walked in and was trying to kill or kidnap me or you." Lexa said. "Probably me."

"So you gave Pike the blood to poison me." Clarke said.

"What blood are you talking about? Nightblood?" Ontari asked, confused. "What are you on about?" Ontari look between them.

"A few days ago, you walked up to the gates and handed Pike something and then about two days later I got poisoned." Clarke said.

"I handed him a small bag." Ontari said. "I got it given to me and told to bring it to Arkadia. I have no clue what was in the bag." Ontari added.

"She is telling the truth." Lexa said. "Did Nia give it to you?" Ontari shrugged. "I know you would rather work with anyone else than Nia."

"I would be killed in a matter of seconds if I didn't work for her." Ontari told them.

"I'm saying, you tell me everything and then you can go back to Nia and we can remove Nia." Lexa said.
