"I've reached my room, Chan

"I've reached my room, Chan. You can go now," Yuna smilingly gave a light push to Chan, and he shook his head.

"I won't go away until I know that I have tucked you into bed and that you're safe and sound," he declared lovingly.

"Oh, it's fine! I'll be okay," she secretly loved how caring he was for her. She wouldn't lie - she liked being pampered, and she hadn't received the pampering in a long time. And if it was Chan who was taking care of her, she couldn't wish for anything more.

"I'll go once I'm done getting you to sleep," Chan pressed.

"Alright, come on in," Yuna unlocked the door of her hospital room, and upon entering, he noticed that something was off.

And when he looked up, he realized that all the photos that previously hung up on the long thread were gone.

"Hey, where are your pictures?" he couldn't help but ask, still staring at the now-empty ceiling and walls.

"Uh, they j-just took them down," she lied. He immediately caught onto her lie and looked at her, pursing his lips.

"Tell me the truth," Chan persuaded, and she couldn't help but avert her eyes when she said, "I'm telling the truth."

"You've gotten bad at hiding stuff, you know that?"

Her eyes went wide; since when did that happen? And how could he read her so easily?

"Please, Yuna," he pleaded, concerned.

So she sighed and explained, "The doctors have given up on me. They say that I'm on the verge of dying, and by now, they treat me as if I'm gonna die soon - like I'm almost dead. They cleaned up my room yesterday, only making me live here because my dad is paying the fee for the stay. Thankfully, they gave me the pictures before they threw everything else away."

"What the..." Chan felt enraged. How heartless were they to treat her this way? She had been staying there for months, and this was how they were going to treat her? Like she wasn't even alive? What about human regard?

"It hurts to know that my only home is going to be snatched away from me... I've been here for over a year now. The staff members are my friends, and now, whenever I pass by them, they give me looks of pity. No! I don't want pity! I want their smiles... and that they treat me well. I'm still alive, after all."

"Look," Chan rested his hands on her shoulders, "We will fulfill your wishes and prove to them that they are wrong. Nothing is going to happen to you, okay? You'll be fine in no time. We'll get through your three wishes, and then more to come. You're not... dying."

Yuna nodded, blinking back her tears.

"And tomorrow, we're going to fulfill your fifth wish. What is it, though?"

"I want to learn how to drive a car," she murmured, and he giggled at her endearing expression; as if she was a child who had to admit something embarrassing.

"We'll do that tomorrow," he nodded at her, and within minutes, he had tucked her into bed and kissed her forehead, and wished her a good night.

As he walked out of the door, he saw a panicked Taehyun.

"You? Why are you here?" Chan asked him, and Taehyun, having been caught eavesdropping, was practically embarrassed.

"I'm sorry, I was on this floor to meet somebody and I heard your talk..." he sheepishly admitted, "I'm so sorry."

"It's fine," Chan gave him a tight smile. As he was about to walk away, Taehyun caught his arm and spoke, "But! I want to help her. I assume she was Yuna, right?"

"You're right..."

"How can I help you guys? I'll help in any way possible," Taehyun suggested.

That's when an idea popped into Chan's head, and he smiled and looked at his therapist, and spoke, "I do have something I need help in."
