It's been 5 years having the same routine but gaining more and more leads. After two years, just working in the narcotics division I've been transferred to the Federal bureau of Investigation one state over. Where we were relocated was only 4 hours away from our home. I've decided it was a good opportunity to have our new home build there, it was a great area and a lot of land was for sale, so I bought it.

Luckily I made that decision a year and a half before we moved, during the time I wasn't working I started getting rid of every thing that was now useless. Being a little reluctant we sold and donated everything except Orion, Mom, and Dad's jewelry. We held onto those to dedicate a room for them. We wanted to keep them in our hearts and carry them every where we go.

Both Selene and I wear our Father's dog tags from when he joined the Army later transferring to become a Navy SEAL. He left 6 years after joining because he nearly died on his last job, he wanted to be there for his family. I was 5 at the time.
I wear Orions rings and Sel wears his bracelet, we haven't taken them off since we got them. Selene likes to wear Mom's ruby earrings claiming with a shrug, "It doesn't need to match every thing, I like it." I always wear Mom's favorite anklet, it's made of gold but I kept it because it has her name on it in her handwriting. Occasionally I would let Sel wear it if she gives me the earrings. 8 out of 10 times she chooses to keep them.
Walking out of the training grounds covered in sweat with a towel in hand I speak over the house intercoms calling Selene. "Yeah?" she answers. I tell her, "training grounds are empty if you need to practice. And dinner will be ready in an hour." Hearing her shout "okay" it starts to echo. I knew I should've put up paintings.
