Third Person POV
Severus Snape had been raised alone by his mother since he was 3. Eileen (Severus' mother) had left Tobias the minute she saw him giving a chokeable toy to Severus as a birthday gift. She moved into the abandoned family house in Spinner's End.
Eight years had passed since that day. Severus had spent his years going to a muggle school with Lily and Petunia Evans. Lily and Severus were inseparable with Petunia always tagging along. Eileen had soon realised that Lily was a muggleborn witch. She started teaching both of them basics the year they both turned 11.
On Lily's 11th birthday, Professor McGonagall came with her Hogwarts letter. However, She had to go to Severus' house because Lily was in lessons. She was overjoyed to see the old quidditch star settled to teaching. She gave both the kids their letters and wished them best of luck.
