"James! Please be sensible!" Lily begged as her and James stood arguing in the kitchen at Godric Hollow
"I am being sensible Lily!" He snapped back
"Going to Order meetings and fighting death eaters is not being sensible!" She exclaimed
"They need me Lily! Can't you see?"
"We're supposed to be in hiding James!" Lily sighed running her hand through her red hair
"Dumbledore said I'm okay to carry on working with Sirius, Remus and Peter in the order. And I'm doing it. I'm not going to be cooped up"
"Well then I'll come with you"
"No" James replied sternly, "you and our baby are going to stay here. That we will not risk" he said walking forwards taking Lily's hands in his.
"Fine" Lily sighed, "but tell me everything that's brought up"
"Of course" James smiled kissing her lips quickly before making his way out of the door and apparating to the Orders headquarters.
James walked through the halls of Mad eyed moodys inhabitants entering the kitchen.
"Prongs! Finally, you're here" Sirius exclaimed throwing an arm around James' shoulders
"Now that we're all here we can get started" Dumbledore spoke up as James sat down between Sirius and Remus.
"Hey, Where's Peter?" James asked looking to Remus for answers
"He's missed a few order meetings recently" Mary Macdonald shook his head
"I think it's all getting a bit to much for him, bless him" Dorcas Meadows added from her side
"No worry's " Dumbledore continued, "I'm sure you can update him next time you see him, "there's a lot to get through today. The giants have been spotted marching North. We think they're now under his command"
"I thought the Giants were neutral in this war" Marlene McKinnon asked
"They were but it seems their afflictions have changed" Dumbledore replied, "in addition to this there has been some strange movement within the Centaurs. I visited them a few weeks ago in hopes of earning their loyalty however they seemed to be quite hostile. They claim they are loyal to someone else"
"Voldemort?" Kingsley shacklebolt asked
"I am please to say they are not" Dumbledore answered
"Then who?" James asked
"Of that I am not sure. They said that they are working with someone with the same goals as them. What this means I do not know. Large amounts of death eaters have been going missing without a trace, every raid or mission Tom organises, at least several of his men disappear"
"What? Just into thin air?" Sirius asked
"It seems so Mr Black. No bodies have been found of these death eaters"
"But surly they've got to be somewhere" James countered
"People don't just disappear" Remus added
"No, they do not Mr Lupin. And it seems they have willingly disappeared without a struggle"
"My brother?" Sirius asked quietly
"He has not turned up at Hogwarts for his last year Mr Black"
Sirius tensed up beside James who placed a hand on his back.
"And to make this whole thing even more peculiar, the colony of Dragons in Romania has suddenly disappeared without a trace"
"Perhaps they've migrated south for the winter?" Dorcas Meadows suggested
"No, I'm afraid it is too early in the season" Dumbledore replied
"What does all this mean?" McGonagall asked
"For that Minerva I do not know. But I have a feeling that Tom has a lot more Enemies than he originally thought"
"What about us?" Remus asked, "do we have more Enemies?"
"Perhaps Mr Lupin, perhaps"
"The Dragons will be arriving tomorrow morning" Regulus started as he and Zenevieva laid on her bed staring up at the ceiling
"Good" Zenevieva said turning to look at Regulus before getting out of the sheets and redressing, "do you think we'll be able to communicate with them?" She asked zipping up her dress and flattening out her hair as Regulus made no move to get dressed himself, still laying on the bed
"I guess it's possible" he hummed, "no ones ever tried before. Not everyone can speak parsletongue. You're the first to attempt to talk to them"
Zenevieva nodded looking herself over in the mirror, "go on Reg, you need to be fresh for tomorrow's meeting with Tom. I need to know everything thats going on"
Regulus nodded, slipping out of the sheets, gathering his clothes and redressing before leaving through Zenevievas door.
She stared at herself in the mirror.
She could never recognise herself. She looked so different to the girl she used to be at Hogwarts.
Her eyes empty and skin cold, oh so different to the girl who's eyes used to shimmer with excitement and skin used to glow with warmth.
But she was done with that innocent, naive little girl.
Now she was dangerous
