<Ray?!>

Emma quickly got up from the ground and started buttoning her shirt.

<Yo. I just got back from the expedition. >

Emma looked in the mirror, smoothing her hair and trying not to let anything of what had just happened show through. She took the book and hid it inside her closet, and went to open the door.

<R-Ray, come in> said Emma smiling at him

Ray walked into the room and put his hand on her forehead.
<are you okay? You're all red in the face, do you have a fever?>

Emma swallowed
<W-what? No I'm ... I'm just hot that's all!> Emma said nervously closing the door behind her.
<so? How did it go?>

<Well ... it went well I think. Oliver has improved a lot thanks to you. You taught him well>

Emma smiled
<be careful, one day he might get better than you!> she said teasing him

Ray looked at her with a raised eyebrow,crossing his arms.
<What. Better than me? Are you kidding me?>

<well everything is possible Mr  "I'm the best">

<Mr.  I'm absolutely the best in the world",please.> Ray corrected her.

He walked over to Emma and wrapped his arms around her giving her a kiss on the forehead.

Emma's eyes widened. The pictures  of that book came back to her mind as Ray hugged her.
"He's...touching me..."

<Emma. I actually wanted to tell you something.>

Ray spoke and brought her back to reality
<I hear you>

He put his hand on her cheek, caressing her
<Emma I owe you an apology. I didn't know how much you were suffering from such a stupid misunderstanding. Oliver told me everything. I'm sorry for all the pain I've caused you. If I had noticed it befor... you wouldn't have suffered. I'm really an idiot...>

Ray looked at her with eyes full of regret and Emma couldn't help but find him adorable.

She took his face with both of her hands
<You don't need to apologise, sweety. It's okay now. We went ahead, and now I'm here by your side!>

Ray looked at her smiling. He bent down, tooking her in his arms as Emma wrapped her legs around his hips.
<what did I do to deserve you, monkey>

Emma let him kiss her lips, wrapping her arms around his neck.
<you exist. This is enough.>

Ray felt like the happiest boy in the world and the confidence grew within him that was the right time to ask Emma that question.

<Emma ... there's a thing that I wanted to ask you a long time ago. Would you->

<Emmaaaa come with us- oh. There's Ray too Gilda!>
Don threw open the door to the room interrupting him.

<oh sorry. Did I interrupt something?> Don asked noticing Emma still in Ray's arms

<No, we were->

<yes. You are.> Said the raven giving Don a murderous look

<oh ... sorry dude. Can you guys come to the library after dinner? Gilda and I have to tell you something!>

The two nodded and Don closed the door gently.

<sorry Ray. What were you saying?>

<it doesn't matter.... We will talk about it another time. > Ray said letting Emma down gently
