<I ... can't believe it ...>

The figure sighed
<Happy now ...?>

Ray backed away pulling Emma towards him. He took his bow and aimed at the target.
<you're a demon?!>

The figure sighed.
<woah! Calm down, dude. I didn't save you to eat you. You have to believe me!>

<Why did you covered your face?>

<You wouldn't have followed me if I showed you what I look like!You would have run away...not that you really had a way out by the way> said the demon ironically

<wait, Ray. Maybe he's telling the truth> Emma put a finger under her chin.

<how can I trust you?> he asked.

<really..? We're literally in the most abandoned place in the village. If I had wanted to eat you, you would already be boiling in a pot!>
The demon crossed his arms over his chest, but sighed when he realized it wasn't enough to earn the two kids trust.
<well...you were here with two friends right? They're->

<how do you know them? What did you do to them?!>said Emma interrupting him.

A sense of fear and anguish spread throughout her body.
She grabbed the demon by the collar of his hood and yanked him

<seriously guys. You need to calm down!>

But Emma only stopped when she heard a familiar voice calling her name.
<Emma!>

Gilda and Don were already inside the house and when they recognized the voice of their brothers they rushed outside.

<GILDA! DON!> Emma let go of the demon, who fell to the ground, and she ran to embrace the two, followed by Ray
<but...why are you guys here?>

<do you remember that anxious demon we met in the alley?> asked Gilda smiling at the older ones, who nodded

<he saved our lives!> Don said

<that old man?> asked Ray

But before he could get an answer they heard the demon behind them
<Hey! Don't talk about my grandfather like that!>

Everyone stared at him with their mouths wide open.

He signed.
<guys ...please... can we now talk about it calmly inside the house, maybe in front of a cup of tea, or do you prefer to talk in front of a door, screaming like some geese?> he continued ironically

When they entered the Ansian demon they met in the village, was sitting in a shabby armchair.
<oh here you are finally! You managed to save them! Make yourself comfortable, we will explain everything!>

Ray and Emma placed backpacks and weapons next to Don and Gilda's. They took off their cloaks and headed for what should have been a living room.
Being a very old house, the only source of light was candles scattered around the room which produced a peaceful atmosphere.

The younger demon sat next to what they discovered to be his grandfather, while Ray and Emma sat across from them, next to Don and Gilda.
On the table that separated the two rows were apples, biscuits for the guests, and hot tea.

<I know you have a lot of questions. But first of all, let's clarify a few things. This is my oldest grandson.
when you were running away from the demons in the village we saw you. I was worried about you, so I asked my nephew to come and help you, but I asked him to cover his face, because from our previous conversation I realized that you would not trust him because of the way he looks. In the meantime, I went to inform your two friends and brought them here.
I hope we have now managed to gain your trust>
