Imagine we are higher than the sparrows
Casually we're breathing with the pharaohs
Tragically we fall just like the arrows
You will hear our voices echo

-From We are the Hearts by EXGF

In the gray green troops,

An ocean of uniforms and guns,

Where everyone had to be united and none were in groups,

Their shoulders straight and heads up despite the scorching sun,

Still up despite the crushing weight of their burdens,

Kept up by courage despite hopelessness and their undying egos.

In this army there was a woman who believed she was not a person,

For she had completely transformed when she was exposed to the world's evil

She was 5 when she had to wake up her mother from a glass littered floor

When she cried herself to sleep listening to loud crashes in the house

She was 7 when she was so sick of crying and pain and so much more

When she quenched her childish fears of the dark or a mouse

She was 9 when she fell in love with astronomy and philosophy

Also when she realized that she could never do what she loved

For she lived in a world where she had to survive or die, no choice of flight or flea

Fight or flight was a lie, it was "fight or die," she believed, so she shoved

Away everything, and 99% of her everything was pain

But how tragic it was that the last percent was the part that made her human

The part that kept her from becoming insane

For you could not be a robot or superman

Speed forward 13 years

She is now in the army

Over these years she had shed countable tears

Or even none; she had learned to bear it all on whatever journey

She had a destination in her eyes

It was a promise she'd promised to keep

A promised she'd screamed at the sky

The wind blowing through her hair could not sweep

That vow away into the distance far away

She promised she'd kill the monster who'd ruined her life

She promised from that promise she'd never stray

And she'd do whatever it takes even if it take a knife

Cold metal of a pistol pressed against her skin

She looked up into the sky, just a wave in an ocean of soldiers

But this wave had other plans besides staying in

This ocean of broken soldiers too proud to admit they hurt and kept up their head and shoulders

She looked up in the sky and saw a bird soar up

The way her arrowS would fly as she took down the enemy

She was so caught up in her dreams she didn't know her own identity

Her name was Sworra
