5 DAYS LATER- Aliyah P.O.V.

I kept one eye open, as my mom's makeup artist finished up my eyeshadow. I scrolled through twitter on my phone, satisfied with seeing everyone talking about my party tonight. After AJ's party last year, I knew my party had to be better, better than his.

"The Limo's gunna be here in ten minutes baby girl." I looked up into the mirror to see my dad standing in the doorway. "Okay, I'll be ready." He nodded before leaving.

"Alright Ms.Aliyah, your all set." I looked up into the mirror at her and smiled. "Thank you Yvonne, my mom will pay you when you get downstairs." She nodded her head as she began packing up all her makeup.

I slid out of my chair, and walked down the hall to my bedroom. Once i got inside, I closed the door behind me, slipping off my robe, revealing my oufit for tonight. I had been wearing a robe for the majority of the evening, knowing that once daddy saw my outfit, he would most likely disapprove, since he disapproves all most everything.

So my mom told me to wear my robe around the house, and only take it off when we were about to leave, so there would be no time to change. I walked over to my bed and buckled my heels. I could feel the butterflies forming in my stomach for tonight.

I was excited for my party, but then again I was anxious as hell too. A small part of me were worried about people showing up, I didn't want any uninvitied guests, or not enough guests.I stood up from the bed and flatened out my top and skirt (Multimedia) before pushing my hair behind my ears.

"The Limo's here babygirl!!" I heard my dad yell up the staircase. I quickly grabbed my phone off my bed and my clutch purse. "Coming!" I yelled back. I checked myself out one more time in the mirror before stepping out of my bedroom, only to bump into AJ like we do every morning.

"Watch where you goin jit you almost wrinkled my shit." He said, brushing down his shirt. "Whatever, you don't look good noways." He sucked his teeth before adjusting his clothes. "Shit, I know I look good." He said motioning to his Versace fit.

"You the one that needs some help, where you think you goin in that bra?" I rolled my eyes. "First of all, it's called a bralette dumbass, and it matches my skirt." He fanned me off. "Whateva, you think pops gon let you leave the house like that?"

I ignored his and flipped my hair past my shoulders, making my way downstairs. "He will." I said as I held onto the railing. "Uh huh we'll see, I bet you I'll make it to the limo before you do." I paused on the step I was standing on and turned around.

"Who said you can ride in my limo?" He folded his arms across his chest and held his chin up. "Li stop playin." I shook my head. "Im not playing." He sucked his teeth and tried to push past me, but I blocked him.

"The only people invitied in my limo are Tyree, Amara and Marissa, sorry you ain't make the cut lil bro."

"So you ain't gon let me ride with my girl?" I shook my head no. "No, you can meet her at the party, your gunna ride in the Ferrari with mom and dad." Ight, bet." He went passed me down the stairs, making it to the front of the house before me.

"Come on Li-Li, I heard the venue's getting packed!" I heard my mom semi-yell. I took a deep breath before stepping around the corner, knowing I was seconds away from hearing daddy's voice about my outfit.

"Ok, Im ready to go." I pushed my hair past my shoulders and started walking towards the front door that was already open.

"Hol up." I cringed once I heard daddy's voice behind me. I stopped in my tracks and turned around. "Yes?"

"What you got on?" He asked, taking his shades off. "August we don't have time for this, your making her more late." My mom said, pulling her purse up on her shoulder. He shook his head. "Nah, what the fuck you got on? Is that a bra?" He asked, examining my top.
