Aliyah P.O.V.

"I let you stay out later, just to see you and this Marlon nigga, kissin in the car??? Really Li-Li??? Tell Marlon next time I see him, it's his ass." I sighed, continuing to eat my bowl of cereal. This had been going on since the time I woke up this morning.

When I got in last night, Daddy was waiting for me as soon as I pushed the front door open. No lights were on in the house, so when I stepped inside, I had bumped directly into him, causing me to panic.

Once we got alot on, he automatically started going off, since he claimed to have seen Marcus and I kiss last night before I got out of his truck.

"That's enough August." Mama said, pushing him out the way. Daddy shook his head. "Nah it's not, she's too young to be out here kissin boys, you needa be talkin to her too."

I sighed again, trying my best to finish my cereal. "She's 18 August, calm down, it was just a kiss."

"And kissin leads to other things, things that's not gunna happen." He turned around to me and gave me a look.

"If she was AJ you wouldn't be saying anything about a kiss." Mama added.

"That's different, AJ's not a female." I stood up from my seat and handed my empty bowl to mama.

"Have a good day baby." I let out a small smile as I grabbed my bag out of my seat. "Yeah have a good day, and stay away from that nigga Marlon, ain't no tutoring anymore either."

"August!" Mama snapped. "Ignore him baby, have a good day at school, and you can stil tutor Marcus." Daddy sucked his teeth and walked out of the kitchen.

"Don't mind him, you know how he is." I nodded as I grabbed my car keys out of my bag.

"Bye mama."

"Bye baby."

I shook my head and turned around, making it out of the house as fast as I could. All I wanted to do was get out of here before daddy came back down and lectured my ear off again about Marcus.

I stepped outside, locking the door behind me.

Simone P.O.V.

Once I heard the front door close, I took a deep breath and walked upstairs to August and I's bedroom. Ever since Aliyah came home last night, he's been acting so crazy. I pushed the bedroom door open and shook my head once I seen him .

"What's wrong with you?" I started.

"Are you really that upset over a little kiss?" He sucked his teeth. "Don't try to downplay it Simone, you know just like I know she's way to young to be kissin these little ass niggas." I slightly chuckled.

"She's 18."

"So?? That's still young." I slowly nodded. "Okay, so what age do you think it should be appropriate?" I folded my arms across my chest, waiting for him to answer.

"When she turns 25." I chuckled. "You know damn well that doesn't make any sense, you just don't want her to grow up."

"And obviously you do." I sighed.

"She's gunna grow up regardless if I want her to or not, besides she's only getting older, she'll be 20 in two years, we have to let her do her own thing, no matter how much much we don't want too."

He sighed, running a hand down his face. "I know....but she's still my princess." I smiled. "And she'll always be your princess, but she's not six anymore baby, she's pratically a grown woman almost."

"Yeah, I remember them days when we used to be so close, she wanted to do everything with me...now all she wants to do is girly stuff, she don't even like comin with AJ and I when we go fishin or play ball."
