Simone P.O.V.

"Morning Sergeant Simone." I leaned into the bathroom sink, as I continued to brush my teeth. "How'd you sleep?"

I shrugged my shoulders as August walked up behind me, kissing my cheek. "Okay I guess." I leaned down into the sink, spitting out my toothpaste.

"Well I slept good." He started. "Aliyah left for school?" I nodded, rinsing out my mouth. "Yeah, like a hour ago, why?"

"Good, what time does AJ get up?" I cut off the sink and turned around so I was facing him. "He should be getting up in a few minutes, is something wrong?"

"Nah, I gotta talk to him about the whole hospital thing." I nodded slowly. "Oh, the smoking? It's about time."

I turned back around, pulling my hair up into a ponytail. "Yeah, I was tryna hold off since I was tryna make sure everything was good with his health, but now that I know he's okay for sure, we gotta have a man to man talk."

"Mmm, and what will be said in this man to man talk?" I lifted a brow, waiting for him to answer me.

"Man stuff." He said, shrugging his shoulders. "He's gunna have some real man responsibilities for what he was doin, and what I want him to do will be discussed."

I smirked a little. "Okay, Sergeant." I said, mocking him. He chuckled.

"Wassup? You actin strange, what's goin on with you?" I shook my head. "Nothing, Im good."

He sucked his teeth. "You already know I can tell when something's up with you so, wassup? Is it my lil one?" He walked over to the counter and sat down, pulling me in between his legs.

"No, the baby is fine." He smiled, placing his hand on my belly. "Ight, so what is it?"

I sighed. "This whole situation with Aliyah is really killing me on the inside." I started. "I hate treating her this way, but I don't know what else to do." He sighed, nodding his head.

"You already know I hate treatin my princess like this, but she needs some tough love, that's the only way she gon learn."

I sighed again. "I know."

"Besides, she's learnin some valuable life lessons, real folks have jobs and work for what they need and want, we handed her everything her whole life, she needs to know how to work and take care of herself, and not be handed everything."

I nodded, knowing he was right.

"I know...."

"So what, you tryna let her off the hook now?" I shook my head. "No, I just don't like treating her this way."

"I know ma, I know."

Marcus P.O.V.

"Thank you for picking me up." I pulled up to a red light, and looked over at Meeka. "It's straight, where's your car?" She sighed, resting her head on the window.

"I don't know."

"I left my keys on the nightstand last night, and when I woke up this morning, they were gone, and so was my car." I frowned. "So who took it?"

She shrugged. "I don't know, but Im sure it was my mama, this isn't the first time she's took my car to go somewhere."

My frown deepend a little bit. "....She doesn't have a car?"

"She does." She started. "But it's in the shop until she can pay it off, she takes the bus to work, so I drive myself to school, but I don't know where she could possibly be going since she lost her job not to long ago."
