(TRIGGER WARNING! Contains fear, fake gunshots, breakdowns, and pain)

Hopper's POV

I was still marking all of the dead plants, which I was most likely nowhere close to being doing with when I heard a sound.

A gunshot.

I gasp from the sudden loud sound, and quickly look to see where the sound came from.

To my surprise, it was a little kid.

Eugene's grandkid to be exact.

With a fake gun.

"You're dead." The young child says to me, as I sigh in relief.

"Yeah, you got me, kid." I say, as the child continues to 'shoot me' with the gun.

"Happy Halloween." I say, back to the kid.

That's when I remembered something very important.

It was definitely past 5:15.

"Oh, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit." I say with a groan.

I quickly go over to my car and place in my keys. I begin to drive off, when I remembered another factor of my promise to them.

Well, to Eleven not y/n.

I knew that y/n didn't believe in promises, and this is just more evidence that her theories are true.

I quickly drive back to where I was originally, and look back over to the child who 'shot' me.

"Hey, kid. Give me some of that candy, would you?" I say, to the kid.

"No way." The kid says as their response.

I honestly didn't have time for this.

I quickly pull out a five dollar to 'sweeten' the deal.

"All right. How about now?" I say, hoping the child would agree.

Your POV

We were watching Frankenstein on the tv, and honestly I was getting really annoyed with Maria.

"Who are you? I'm Maria. Will you play with me? Would you like one of my flowers?" Maria says.

I couldn't stand her.

Suddenly, the morse code radio begins to beep.

This meant, that Hopper was talking to us.

Eleven and I got up quickly, I couldn't bare to watch another second of that movie.

It wasn't only because of Maria though.

"L... A... T... E." Eleven says, taking me out of my thoughts.

"Late." She says, sounding quite disappointed.

"I told you, promises can't be kept! I honestly don't know why you're not listening." I say, stating my beliefs.

"But..." She says, trailing off.
