Chapter 25

Danielle's POV

"Turn it off please" I mumbled as I slightly shook Stefania to get her to turn her alarm off "Thank you" I said "sorry Bambina, but we have to get up to go to my fathers house" she said "what is the time" I asked "ahh 4pm" she replied "oh my god we slept for 16 hours and I am still tired" I laughed "Si we did but we do need to get ready Gio will be here in 45 minutes" she said. Stefania and I made our way down the hallway and to the elevator to meet Gio "are you feeling better" I asked with a smirk on my face "that quick stress reliever definitely helped" she replied. We walked out of the lift eyes instantly falling on Gio's car that was parked out the front "Ciao Gio" Stefania said as she opened the door for me to get in "you sit in the front baby" I said as I opened the back door to get in "Ciao Stefania , Ciao Danielle" he said "settle in okay" he asked "Si we did  we slept 16 hours the jet lag is getting to us for sure" Stefania replied.

Stefania's POV

"Who is the new receptionist" I asked Gio "Uh her name is Julia I think she only started 2 days ago" he said "why is that" he asked "just she didn't recognise the last name and I didn't even see anyone I know" I said "well that is what happens when you don't visit for a year dad did a whole restructure so you will be lucky if you know anyone there" he laughed "Did he fire you in the process" I laughed "You work at the hotel" Danielle asked "ahh Si I am the manager but dad" he started to say but I cut him off "now isn't the time" I said "What do you mean now isn't the time" he asked kind of confused "yeah what do you mean Stefania" Danielle asked her voice angry "I'm sorry Bambina I will explain it all to you later I promise, just please don't say anything about this to my father okay" I said "Stefania you can tell her" Gio said "not yet" I said turning my head and facing the window.

Danielle's POV

What just happened I questioned I don't know what is wrong with Stefania or what is going on with her father that she can't tell me but it is making me annoyed. "We are here are you ready for this" Gio asked "can you just give us a minute please" Stefania asked "Si I will wait outside" he said getting out of the car "Stefania what is going on" I asked "My dad owns the hotel we are staying at and almost every other hotel in Sicily" she said "okay and" I said "he thinks that everyone that knows we have money dates me for that reason" she said "oh so you didn't want me to know so if he accuses me of that I really didn't know" I said "yes I am sorry Danielle I didnt want to lie to you but I just didn't want my father to be an ass to me about you" she said "it is okay baby, I happen to be an amazing actor and will pretend I have no clue what he is talking about" I said leaning over to kiss her "I love you, I will tell Gio not to say anything" she said.

Stefania's POV

"Don't say anything about Danielle knowing he has money okay" I said "Si all good let's do this" he said as he opened the door. "Oh Stefania I have missed you come here" my father said opening his arms for me to hug him "I have missed you too Papa" I said squeezing him tight "Papa this is Danielle" I said "Ahh Danielle it is so nice to meet you" he said "you aswell Mr Spampinato" Danielle said putting her hand out to shake his which he happily took ahold of. "Danielle would you like a drink" my father asked her "yes please" she said as she followed him into the kitchen. The night went on with a lot of talking mostly my dad and Danielle it was kind of hard for Gio and I to get a word in but I am perfectly okay with that. "Excuse me a minute I am just going to run to the bathroom" Danielle said excusing herself form the table, "I like her" my dad said my jaw instantly dropping to the floor I looked over at Gio who's face looked exactly like mine "you what" I asked "I like her she's funny , she's driven, independent, protective of you, she treats you well what more could a father ask for" he said "your mother would of loved her" he said "Dad you have never said that about anyone you have met not even my ex husband" I said "Because they didn't treat you well and I have known Danielle for about 3 hours and can already tell she treats you very good and she loves you Stefania" he said as I broke down into tears.

Danielle's POV

"Everything okay baby" I said as I walked out and noticed Stefania was In tears "Si all good bambina" she replied I crouched down in front of her "are you sure you are okay why are you crying" I said as I wiped a tear off her cheek "happy tears Danielle I am okay and I love you so much" she said pressing a quick kiss to my lips. "Stefania, Gio can you clean up from dinner please I want to show Danielle the back yard" Stefania's father said "Si Papa all good" Gio replied. "Danielle I don't really want to show you anything I just wanted to talk to you without them hearing me" my heart sunk and I was really nervous when he said that "uhh okay" I replied "I like you Danielle I think you are really good for my baby girl" he said "oh uhh thank you sir" I said "Stefania loves you I mean she really loves you I have never seen her like this not with her ex husband or any other partner she has had and I think I really think that you and Stefania will be together for ever and get married and have children" he said "I hope so I really do" I said "Stefania's mum wanted me to give this to the right person and no one has been worthy of that until now" he said as he pulled a set of rings from his pocket "this was my wife's engagement and wedding ring and I know it is very early on in your relationship but when the time is right I would like you to propose to Stefania with this ring" he said "When you are ready to do so you call me and I will have it delivered to you, my wife would of loved you and the way you treat Stefania" he said bringing tears to my eyes "thank you Mr Spampinato it means so much hearing this from you" I said.
