It was a sunny day outside. Mother was in town, leaving the four their father at home. The Brit had some work to be done, so outside the four brothers went. After a cold winter, spring had finally come around. The flowers were still popping up out of the snow, small dew-covered buds reaching for the sunlight. A lizard was crawling out of its hibernation, moving sluggishly through the weeds and flowers.

Blue hands were quick to snatch up the lizard. "Can! Ame! Zee! Looky here!" The thrilled Aussie exclaimed, rushing to show his new buddy to his older brothers.

New Zealand was the closest in sight, and was therefor the closest. "Eep! Aust! You know I don't like you surprising me like that." "Kiwieeeeee. It's just a little lizard!" Aussie whined. Canada walked up, proud maple leaf stamped in the middle of his forehead. Sure, he was younger than Zealand but he was still taller than the two. "Aussie. You know Dad doesn't like you bringing new pets into the house. Remember the snake?"

"It was just a baby garden snake!" "But either way it scared Mom when she found it in the kitchen while she was making rolls."

"But I liked those rolls. They looked funny and they were all these different shapes. Ame had one that looked like a worm, a-and you had one that looked like the weird glasses Dad has."

"You mean a 'monocle'?" Zealand asked, smiling a little at the memory. The lizard looked calm, enjoying the heat and a place in the sun. A perch on the shoulder no less.

"A monacal? Yeah. That thing." "No. A monocle." "Monakul." "Say it with me. Mon- Eh- cul." "Mon-ah-cal." "No. It's Mon-ah. monacal. . .  I give up with you."

Canada smiled at the two. Australia may struggle with words everynow and then, but he always had fun with Zee. "That is an eggcellent plan. And I need to show America Mr Snoogles!" The Aussie sprinted off, holding Mr Snoogles carefully.

"There is no getting him to get rid of the lizard, is there."

"Nope. Once it's named it stays."  "Let's hope it's not as stupid as Fuzzbuzz," "The tarantuala wasn't stupid. It just. . . Got in a bad agruement with Dad." "So that's what happened then?" "Please don't tell. It's better to say that FuzzBuzz escaped." "Agreed."

"America? AmEEEEERICCCAAAAAA?" Aussie could be heard calling out in the distance, looking for his older brother, heading to the treeline.

"Australia! Don't go into the woods!" Zea took notice, sprinting on over. "You know what Mom and Dad always say about going in there alone." "B-but what about Meri?"

"We'll find him."

"I promise."

"Do you promise that he'll be alright?"

"I'm sure of it."
