The Viennese Waltz Caper

(A/N I have a question for you guys, do any of you watch the actual episode while reading each chapter? I sometimes do that when reading fics like this one.)

After a good nights rest and a nice breakfast everybody streams back into the theater, everybody is a bit tense knowing that only two episodes are left, and they wouldn't be starting in a great place. Once settled into their seats the screen lights up and the episode begins immediately.

(Opening)

Player: I've been monitoring all usual channels for any chatter. Total radio silence.

"That is highly suspicious." Dadowsan said. It's rare for VILE to go totally quiet.

Ivy: That's too quiet.

Player: I've also spent the last 24 hours hacking into every surveillance feed in Seattle I could find. No sign of Carmen.

"There's a good chance the Cleaners took her to a VILE black site." Tamara says. Everyone looks at her.

"Which would explain the radio silence, Carmen and her team have foiled all of VILE's operations up to this point. Now that they have her they won't risk her team saving her from them." Zari says.

"As much as I hate to say it, they're probably right about that." Player says.

Dadowsan: The Cleaners are all too good at covering their tracks.

Player: You haven't turned up anything, either?

Dadowsan: Nothing that will lead us to her.

"We have to do something, we can't just sit around and wait." Ivy says.

Zack: And we can't just go kick down VILE's front door. We don't know where they live anymore.

Ivy: C'mon, guys. This is Carmen Sandiego we're talking about. She always finds her way out of scrapes. Right?

Dadowsan: Our best hope of learning where VILE might be keeping Carmen, will be to intercept their next heist.

"Except we need them to break their radio silence to do that." Player says.

"They're VILE, they'll come out eventually." Carmen says.

"What if it's too late?" Player asks her. Carmen, honestly didn't know what to say to that. VILE had her, her team had no way to find her, and it was unlikely VILE would break radio silence until after they did whatever they planned to do to her. Things weren't looking good.

(ACME HQ)

Chase: You wish to see me, Chief?

Chief: I thought you might want to get acquainted with ACME's newest recruit. Well, reacquainted.

Jules: Agent Devineaux.

Chase : (LE GASP) Ms. Argent ? Julia ? Agent Argent.

(They fumble for a moment before lightly bumping fists.)

"That was easily the most awkward thing you've done in this entire show." Sonia says.

Chase: But... your academic career?

Jules: Yes, well, recent events have inspired a change of heart.

Chase: So, we are one big happy family now. No longer trying to catch Carmen Sandiego?

Jules: I would have to resign all over again.

"I would prefer that not happen." Chase says.

Chase: Then I can not wait to finally pursue real criminals with you.
