The Elevator

Y/N put the radio away and went to the elevators quickly. She pressed the button and walked in as she pressed the button to go to the second level. She walked directly to room 223.

She searched and found a room key, washing line, and rolling pin. She walked out and to the elevators once more. She pressed the button as the doors opened. She pressed the button to go to the ground floor.

On the ground floor, she headed to the arcade.

In the arcade, she turned around to face the door when she saw Doctor Bose.

There were police knocking on the door as Doctor Bose held his head and started going down. "It's the police, Mr. Bose. We need you to come down to the station. Can you open the door please?" The police officer asked. The lights soon flickered off then back on.

Y/N got out her radio. "Is it Doctor Bose?"

"I'm Doctor Bose"

"I saw you upset and heard the police banging on the door. What was going on?"

"Rose reported me. I knew they'd strike me off. I had no career, no future. I decided to take control, once and for all."

"Why was there a washing line tied around a rolling pin?"

"I tied them together. It was an experiment."

"When you said you decided to take control once and for all, does that have anything to do with what you said about the washing line and rolling pin?"

"I experimented with the washing line, but it was too thin. I found some rope instead. I still had my keys to the hotel so I crept in one night while I was on bail."

Y/N didn't have a good feeling on this one so she braced herself before continuing and headed to the elevators. She pressed the button and the elevator came down as she waited she still had a bad feeling. The door opened and she stepped on. She pressed the button to the lower ground.

On that floor, she got out and looked left as she peeked her head out then right and saw a flicker. Y/N gulped as she slowly stepped out and walked over to the stairway door.

She turned around.

Doctor Bose had a rope that leads inside the elevator to around his neck. As the elevator shut the rope started to go up and he started to grab the rope but it wouldn't stop until he finally died. The lights flickered off then back on.

Y/N barfed a bit in her mouth and looked away as she started to feel weak. 'Why... Why so much death?' Y/N started to feel like crying but took out her radio. "Is it Dr. Bose?..."

"Yes. I'm Doctor Bose."

"...I saw you tying a rope around your neck... You killed yourself... Why?"

"I had enough. There was no going back. My life was over anyway."

She pressed the button to the first floor. Seconds felt like forever now. Y/N didn't feel like doing anything. Out of nowhere she blacked out and fell to the ground of the elevator.

As soon as she woke up she saw Jimmy as he was sitting next to her head. Y/N slowly started to close her eyes but knew if she did it'll probably scare Jimmy so she tried her best to keep her eyes open.

"Where am I...?"

"In an elevator," Jimmy said. Y/N looked at him as he had a very strong look of concern.

Y/N sat up slowly holding her head.

"I wouldn't move that much you have a big bruise on the back of your head..."

Y/N tried to think of what happened before she fell unconscious. Until she remembered. Y/N started to feel tears fall down her cheek as she tried to get up with the help of the walls as she quickly pressed the button to the ground level.

Jimmy quickly noticed that she needed help and picked her arm up and put it around his neck to help her stay up.

Y/N looked down as tears kept rolling down.

"Hey?"

"Yeah...?" Y/N said not looking at him.

"Whatever you saw I'm sorry... But I swear I don't remember a single thing from those days... All I know is Hugo did everything to those poor people but no one would believe me..."

When the doors finally opened Y/N walked to the table in front of them with Jimmy's help. "Thanks, Jimmy... But doesn't Hugo soon take over you?..."

"Yes but if he takes over me when I don't know when then I will try my best to lock myself in a room and that's when you hide or leave through the elevator"

Y/N nodded.

"Oh here's this by the way you most likely need it," Jimmy said handing the radio to her.

Y/N grabbed it and pulled it close to herself "thanks Jimmy but how long do you think I was past out?"

"After you got hit in the head probably I'd estimate around 30 minutes at the most at least when I got there"

Y/N had a surprised look. "Oh really? Felt like a few seconds and that's better than Hugo finding me"

Jimmy nodded.  "I'd probably hate myself forever if Hugo ever did anything to you like killing you for example"

"Yea-" Y/N saw Hugo start to come back and Y/N backed up and run to the elevator without falling from having a bit of weak legs.  But she made it and went onto the elevator. 

She quickly pressed the button to go to floor three fast as the doors shut before Hugo could come on. 

Y/N sighed a big breath of relief and walked around and found herself at a dead end.  She turned around and saw a new person. 

A guy was trying to explain something to someone.  "He made it up.  I'm telling you he's been lying about everything.  Probably lied about the other stuff as well."

A girl's voice came up now.  "Don't be ridiculous!  He wouldn't lie about something like that!"

Back to the guy "you sure about that? He lied about everything!  Open your bloody eyes Rose!  Oh that's right!  Walk off!"

To the girl.  "I'm not listening Harvey, you've just got it in for him."

Back to the guy one last time.  "It's the truth!" He said while walking back into the room.
