Chapter 5- Tai's perspective - Earthquake

It was a rainy Tuesday morning, So rainy that soccer practice was cancelled. I was sitting in the cafeteria waiting for my friends to arrive when Matt and Sora flung their trays on the table.
"Hey Tai" Sora said
"Sup" Matt said
"Hey Sora, hey Matt" I replied
"This rain sucks!" Matt fumed
"I like the rain, it's soothing" Sora said
"It's bullshit" Matt countered
"Enough about the rain, you guys wanna come over later?" I proposed
"I don't have anything better to do, Sora?" Matt said
"Sounds good to me" Sora said
"Great you guys can just walk home with me if that's okay" I said
"Sure, see you then" Matt said
Soon after the bell rang and we all went our separate ways to class. After our last couple of classes, I met up with Sora and Matt at our lockers. I was just about to leave when I was approached by a familiar-looking freshman who wore stupid-looking goggles.
"Tai! Tai wait!" the freshman squawked
"Hey uh what's your name?" I asked
"I never actually introduce myself, I'm Davis" He said extending his hand to shake mine
"Nice to meet you," I said "Did you want to say something or?"
"Are you going home? I need to talk to your sister" Davis said
"Uh ya sure you can just walk home with me," I said "Matt, Sora meet my freshman"
"Lose the goggles and maybe you'll get a girlfriend" Matt chuckled
"Matt leave the little boy alone" Sora said elbowing Matt in the rib
"You kinda look familiar, do you have an older sister?" Matt asked
"Yea her name is Jun" Davis responded
"I knew it, your sister is a stalker Davis" Matt said angrily
"Oh I know she's like obsessed with you" Davis said
"Anyway let's get home my mom is going to wonder where I am" Tai said grabbing the arm of the freshman and dragging him with them
I opened the door leading to our house to see my mom sitting on the stairs.
"I brought a couple of friends over I hope that's fine" I said
"Fine by me but you should check the basement" My mother said
"TG get away from my girl!" Davis screeched as he ran to the basement door
"I'm not your girl!" I heard my sister holler at him "Take a hint!"
"Davis stop!" I said running after Davis
"Hi Mrs. Kamiya" Sora said calmly
"Woah you didn't tell me blondie was coming over" I said
"I can't believe you invited him and not me!" Davis wined
"Isn't that hard to believe" I mumbled
"Who are we talking about? Matt said poking his head in the doorway of the basement "Oh it's my brother, hey Lil bro"
"Hi matt" Tk said rolling his eyes
"Wait I wanna say hi!" Sora said "Aw your little sister is so cute Tai, hi I'm sora"
"Nice to meet you Sora" Kari said
"Your brother has told me so much about you!" Sora exclaimed
"I bet he did," Kari said glaring up at me
"Anyway we're going upstairs, Davis go study with them or whatever" I said "Later"
Just like that, we got rid of the Annoying freshman. Matt, Sora and I went to going to go chill in the living room.
"I'm going grocery shopping!" My mother yelled
"Okay" Kari yelled
I was going through one of the boxes on the counter looking for my VHS collection when the ground started to shake. Matt and I both linked arms with Sora and ducked under the closest table, Holding on to the legs of the table for dear life.
"Aaahh" we heard someone scream from downstairs
It sounded like my sister, oh shit nothing was bolted to the wall down there. What if something fell on her?
"Everyone okay?" I said frantically running down the stairs
"Barely" Kari said sitting in the hole of a shelf in pure shock
"By the looks of it you got lucky sis," I said pulling her out of the hole "What's that envelope you have?"
"I'm not sure," she said "It fell off the shelf when the shelf fell on me"
"You should open it" Matt said standing behind his brother with Sora
She carefully opened the envelope up. It was a note erratically written in black ink.
"I can't read that I'm going to be sick" she said passing the note to me
"I will" I said taking the note from her

East end beach 20 years after
I will strike again and get revenge

"I think I'm going to shit my pants" I said after reading it out loud
"I already did" Davis admitted
"20 years later April 4, that's today!" Sora shouted
"Is there a west end beach in Crystal Cove?" Kari asked
"Yes, yes there is," Tk said "Let go, come on!"
Tk, Davis, Kari, Sora, Matt and I all took off running for the beach. No one knew what revenge could be taking place at the west end beach, or if we were too late. Maybe the note was a prank but we couldn't take any chances. We passed Mimi and Yolei on the way to the beach.
"Where are you guys running in such a rush?" Mimi wailed
"If it's important I wanna come!" Yolei cried
"Can't explain follow us!" Sora yelled
And just like that our running group grew. We had gotten to the beach only to see Cody rapped in a hug with a tall blue-haired boy crying his eyes out.
"What's happening?" Yolei asked "What's wrong Cody?"
The tall blue-haired boy looked up with teary eyes looking for the right words to say
"There's been a death in crystal cove" The tall blue-haired boy said
