Violetshine stared bluntly as she watched Nettle and Loki threw out her nest and gave it to the prisoners. Needletail pressed against her. "I never thought I'd see the day little Violetshine would take a mate. Especially not Darktail."
Me neither. Violetshine wanted to say, but she kept her mouth shut.
Suddenly, Darktail emerged from inside his den. His blue eyes shone as he gazed at Violetshine. "Come on in." He meowed. The black and white she-cat hesitantly padded into the bramble den. She gazed at the nest in the center. Some mates didn't even share a nest, yet look at them.
She gazed at him, a dull expression in her eyes. What have I done? She thought helplessly.
"You will sleep in my nest tonight, okay?" He asked. It sounded more like an order than a question.
"Okay." Violetshine muttered back. She felt like every hair on her pelt was spiking with fear.
