24: Three Words, Eight Letters

"What are you talking about?"
Eun Woo asks again.
Hoping he heard Chase's words wrong.

"Man, you have a poor hearing!"
Chase glares at him.
"Aish. It's not like I want to get caught up between the two of you so screw you! I'm going to sleep again."
He closes his door, leaving Eun Woo alone again.

"Hey! Wait--"

Sage then appears on Eun Woo's eyes.
It looks like she came from somewhere.

They stared at each other and then Eun Woo sees a plastic bag on her hands.
She bought an octopus.

"W-will you cook that?"
He asks.

She looks away.

"just going for a steam. I can't cook, anyway."

Eun Woo grabs the plastic and the keys on her other hand.

"I'll cook it for you!"
He says without even looking at her.

She smiles at his slyness and nods her head even if the guy couldn't even see her.

"So how do you like it cooked?"

"Just do your thing."
She says, slumping her butt onto the floor and getting books on her shelf.

"What are you studying?"

She looks at the books and starting jutting down notes.
"Cosmetology."
She simply says and started reading again.

Eun Woo looks at her fridge and sees a note.

Cosmetology School Schedule

"You're enrolled in a school?"
He asks while preparing the ingredients.

"It's free. I mean, it's not free but I took the exam for the 100% scholarship so I got in for free."

Eun Woo looks at the schedule, memorizing it.

Come to think of it, he could not even drive her home again like before. All because he was busy doing his shoot for a drama these days.

"You even have classes at night?"
She has a 7pm-10pm class.

"Yup."

"I will pick you up tonight."

"No need. I can just walk ho--"

"How if somebody harasses you again? Do you think I will be able to forgive myself?"

"What are you--"
She says, trying to deny what happened between her and Kang yesterday.

"Sage, we will not understand each other if we keep secrets."
He says.

"Says the one who could not even bring his past up."
Sage whispers.

"Did I offend you with that?"
Eun Woo asks.
"I just.. I just can't.. my past is too traumatic to--"

Sage pulls him closer and stares at his eyes.
