1st Person P.O.V.

Almost four months have passed since Rengoku's death. Most days, the boys and I spent hours upon hours, from sunrise to sunset, training until our bodies crumbled.

Sometimes, we'd get a break and have a crow announce that one or two of us had a mission.
It was never anything major. Just a demon bothering a town and killing its villagers and such.

I'd learned a lot, though.
By now, I had eight of thirteen forms of Sky Breathing down to a tee. But other than that, I reached a standstill with bending. Earthbending simply wasn't sticking to me.

Inosuke, who I'd asked to train me, was tough on me. Every mistake I made he'd point out, yelling and calling me flimsy, or saying that my bending wouldn't even frighten a demon the size of a sparrow.

Of course, he wasn't wrong, but I still worked my hardest. It grew to be too much at times. Like it was now.

"COME ON! PUSH IT LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT, M/N!"
Inosuke yelled at me, the unbearably heavy boulder before me not moving an inch in my favor.

"I'm trying! And for the last time, it's Y/N!"
In frustration, I give up and loudly groan.

"I GIVE UP! THIS STUPID BOULDER IS UNMOVABLE! I GOT THE STANCE RIGHT, I GOT THE ANGLE RIGHT, WHAT ELSE IS THERE?!"

I drop to the ground, laying down to calm myself. Of course, Inosuke was offended by this, kicking the ground hard so a rock hit my back and forced me up.

"Ow! Hey!"
I protest.

His minty eyes glared at me, brows furrowed. He'd take his mask off when we trained, saying it was better this way so I could see the concentration required for earthbending.

Today was no different, and he stomped up to me.
"You're doing it wrong!"

"No kidding, Inosuke!"

"Stop doing that thing with your feet! It's pissing me off!"

"Doing what?!"

"That stupid thing where you keep standing on your toes! You're supposed to stomp your foot into the ground like this!"
He demonstrated, getting into his wide stance and stomping so hard it left a hole.

"Now you do it!"

I roll my eyes, and right as I'm about to, a scream startled me. It came from the mansion, and I ignored everything and ran towards the sound, Inosuke obviously shouting for me to get back.

Once there, I shout at Tengen, who seems to be holding all of the girls, even Kanao, Aoi over his shoulder.

"What're you doing to those girls?! Let them go!"

Everyone paused to look at me, and upon closer inspection, it looks more like they're swarming him instead...

With all the might her small voice could muster, Kiyo screamed.
"Kidnapper! Help us, Miss Y/N!"
