I felt someone strongly shake me, opening my eyes and adjusting to the pain. Inosuke forced me awake, Tanjiro scolding him for doing so as harshly as he did.

"Are you okay?! M/N!"

"Y/N! Can you hear me?"
Tanjiro worried, holding my head up on his lap.

I mumble, looking at them.
"...Are you ok? Inosuke, what about you?"

Tanjiro nodded, Inosuke joining in.
"I feel great! Not even a sniffle!"

"I can't move yet. You two go help the others. Who's injured? What about the guy up front?"

Inosuke huffed loudly, clearly annoyed at the mention of him.
"Actually, I think it's alright if he dies!"

"No, it isn't."
Tanjiro added.

"He stabbed M/N in the stomach! Anyways, his leg's pinned under the engine.  There's no way he can walk. If we leave him, he'll die."

I grab his arm.
"No. He's suffered enough. Help him, please."

"Hmph! Fine. But only because I'm a good boss who... makes his underlings happy."
He hesitated and stared a little longer, before he started to walk away.
"But after I do that, I'm ripping out all his hair!"

"Don't do that, Inosuke."

Tanjiro gently laid me down on the ground, getting up as well.
"Will you be okay?"

I nod, breathing slowly.
"Don't worry about me. Go ahead."

He started walking away, and I stare at the sky.
"It's nearly dawn, isn't it?"

"Yes."
Amaterasu spoke softly, sitting by my side.

"Did I do good?"

"You did well."

"Nezuko, Zenitsu and Regoku-San have got to be safe..."

"Get your breathing under control instead of speaking. You're losing blood."

"Is it that bad?"

"The needle went in deep."

"Damnit..."
I sigh, closing my eyes, trying my best to breathe slowly.

Footsteps approach me, and the voice catches me off-guard.
"It looks like you can do Total Concentration : Constant! I'm impressed!"

I open my eyes, Rengoku-San standing by my head.
"Rengoku..."

"That's the first step to becoming a Hashira!"
He smiled.
"But that's the first of ten thousand steps yet to come!"

"I'll... do my best."
I tense, a sudden burst of pain emerging in my gut.

"Your stomach is bleeding."
