3rd Person POV
(Focus Shifted from Reader)

Heavy breaths came from the tired airbender, who poured her heart and soul into today's training, even more so than usual.

The event with her brother from a few weeks ago pushed her to be even stronger for him, so he'd never have to worry about her again, but she did make sure to teach him to respect his own work as much as he respects other's.

Sweat began to bead on her arms and forehead, some drops falling from her limbs as she tightly gripped her staff to assure it won't slip.

"Enough for today."
Kana announced, always proud of how hard and how extensively her student trained.

The more she grew up, the more alike to her parents she became. Her mother's features were most prominent, but she held the same fiery determination and bright personality of her father.

Once the news of their unfortunate deaths reached the temple, Kana honored the promise she'd made to her forever childhood friend. She would protect and raise their children like her own, swearing to always keep them on the right path, and shelter them from harm and to always be there for them.

The biggest similarity between Y/N and her mother was the bending. If you would put them side by side, their synchronization was impeccable.

They both learned just as fast too.

From barely moving a leaf above the ground to being able to shake an entire forest without breaking a sweat, the progress was incredible.

She watched the girl bow and thank her for her time before making her way back inside, and soon back to her home.

With a satisfied sigh, she returned indoors after fixing up the training area, a true pride filling her as she couldn't help but smile. The damage that girl could inflict truly fascinated her.

She used her airbending in such an elegant yet powerful way, it was fascinating to watch. By herself, she was naturally rather energetic, but when training, she became focused and swift in her movements, her agility truly coming to light.

Even after living there for decades, Kana always adored the temple. She knew and explored every nook and cranny, no corner or passage being unknown to her.

She knew the history behind every mural, every painting, every song and every tale, as well as knowing the scriptures by heart. It was no wonder she became a head nun.

And simply living in the mountain-top temple was nothing less than peaceful. The other nuns were graceful and kind, a majority made up of older women who have learned the ways of life. While some nuns may be a little more headstrong, others may be a little more stern, and other maybe quieter.

They all were one family at the end of the day. Sisters and maternal figures, they all trusted and respected one another, accepting their flaws and differences, learning to live in perfect harmony with one another.

They all lived together under a silent oath of protecting the sacred and ancient art of airbending and the spirituality that came with it, promising training to every airbender that wished to learn their ways.
