"Everyone, I would like you to meet Y/N!" Blitzo boomingly announces you to the employees of IMP.

Nervously, you hid behind the imp blushing. However, it wasn't really considered as "hiding" as you practically towered over him.

You turned your head to the left and your eyes widened in fear because this was the first time you saw a hellhound up close.

Ever since you were a little girl, hellhounds have been your greatest phobia. Their disposition, how they handle things. And not to mention what a hellhound is capable of. In essence, you describe one as a wolf on steroids.

Meanwhile, the hellhound sitting at her desk seemed to not care about anything, really, swiping away on her phone screen as she rested her cheek on her hand.

"Why, hello there, Y/N! My name is Millie!" Her fingers were proudly spread on her chest. Another hand reached out and offered for you to shake it.

Slowly and gently, you grabbed the hand and shook it. "Um... Thank you," you said quietly.

"Right there is my husband, Moxxie." Millie's voice became more scolding. "...Who is rudely not paying attention to our new employee!"

Moxxie was absorbed into his study that was scattered on the whiteboard, only to snap out of it after Millie yelled at him for attention. "h- huh? Oh. Hey, Y/N!"

You simply gave him a hand wave.

"And here we have our only hellhound, Loona." Millie giggled, and Loona rolled her eyes. "Are you alright, Y/N? You don't look so easy."

You look back at the imp. You say timidly, "Oh, don't worry about it. I think it's just because it's my first day."

"Bah, you'll get over it. Once you get to know us more, you will start to conform to our usual shenanigans."

"Yeah." You put your hands together. Because you were terribly shy, you never really moved from your spot and buried your face in your phone.

Loona had a jacket she would occasionally wear that she hanged behind her chair. Blitzo would like to play "Eskimo" sometimes and turn the AC down to near-freezing and build a paper igloo in his office. Naturally, this caused Loona to get pissed off and demand that he turned the air back to normal.

With that same jacket, Loona took off her chair and hanged it on one of your antlers.

"-Wha- huh?" You say confused.

"Oh, I thought you were a coat hanger," Loona responded and snickered as she disappeared into the lounging area.

You were upset because of this clear offense and you threw the jacket on the floor. "Hilarious," you go, and encouraged yourself to sit down on one of the couches.

Later, Loona came back with a beer but clumsily dropped her pen in the process.

"Ugh, Y/N, could you get that, please?"

You stood there like a deer in headlights, until Loona got louder.

"Uh, hello? I don't have all day!"

"Huh? Oh, sorry," you replied and went to grab her pen from the floor. However, once you stood back up again, you flinched as though she was about to hit you.

"The fuck are you doing?"

"Aren't you gonna hit me, or something like that?"

"Do you want me to?"

"No. I'm sorry. I'll leave you alone, now." You blushed.

Of course, Loona thought you were yet another weirdo and continued with her business on her phone.

"So, uh, what's it like being a hellhound?" You made the tips of your fingers touch.

"I thought you were going to fuck off... But it's alright I guess. I don't understand why you would be fascinated in a kind as stupid as ours."

"Well, I have heard a lot about them when I was just a fawn, and ever since I was terrified. Every time I encounter one in the street, they always give me this look like they want to eat me. I know that sounds stupid, but, what I'm trying to say, I guess, is, er, I don't really know much about hellhounds and-"

"Okay! Jesus Christ. You're almost as annoying as fucking Moxxie."

Your ears drew back while you blushed and flinched again. "I- I'm sorry."

"How about this. You meet me at the park after work and I will show you that you have nothing to fear about us. Do you promise that you will shut up, afterward?"

You nod your head vigorously. "Yes. I promise."

"Good. Now fuck off. I'm serious, this time."

"Y-yes ma'am!" You quickly went back to your seat to hide your face with your phone.

"'Yes ma'am'? That's kind of hot," Loona thought as she bit her lower lip.

Once work was over and the evening approached, the IMP crew naturally grabbed a few items they had with them and left. Loona was the first to leave the office.

Since the park was not so far away, you decided to walk there. When you arrived, you were in love with the trees that were finally waking up from Sinter (get it? sin?) and admired their special greenness in Spring.

After a good walk, you spotted Loona on one of the benches.

"H-hi. L-Loona." You stood in front of her.

"Took you long enough," she remarked.

"Yeah, I'm really a nature person," you tapped your fingers together.

"Whatever. Nature is pathetic, in my opinion. Nature up there, at least." She said referring to the nature of the living world.

"You've been to the living world before?" You replied as you were immediately fascinated. "What's it like?"

"Trust me, you're not missing out." Loona yawned. "But at least it's somewhere to go instead of some losers who stay in their room all day."

"I- I do that," you thought.

After a long pause, you ask, "Don't you have separation anxiety? Like, the fear of being alone, or people leaving you? I remember when my parents got in a car crash once and they both died when I was fawn, also. My brothers and grandma took care of me."

"Yeah, I do. But for different reasons..." She showed her teeth. "Mine were both alcoholics." Sighing, she said, "Well, at least they got what they wanted. I am officially out of their life. At least you have siblings, by the way. All I have is Blitzo. Not that he's a bad father or anything..."

"Yeah, I understand."

After another pause, your hand inched toward hers, and you held onto it. Loona showed her teeth again and growled as she gave you a piercing look.

You pulled away. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry!"

"I'll allow it. Just this once," she said through her growl.

You and Loona shamelessly held each other's hand in the park as you admired the pretty trees and flowers that peeked out of the ground, and simply enjoyed the air around you. Loona could care less, but she definitely enjoyed your company, even though she didn't show it.
