XLI. THE CHAPEL

"Saan ba tayo pupunta Babe?" tanong ni K.

"Basta sumama ka na lang kasi.. " he smirk while driving their way.

"Ikaw talaga andami mong secrets na nalalaman.. " she said and held his other hands while the other was driving.

"Yes nemen.. ito yung surprise ko sa monthsary natin.. kiss nga Kurba.." he pouted.

"Pogi baka mabangga tayo. Eyes on the road .." K snapped him and pointed at the road.

Vice pouted and K seemed to notice it.

"Ayun oh.. Para kang bata.. Sige na nga ito na..." she said and gave Vice a peck on his cheek.

"Yoko nyan.. napipilitan." he smiled a little but still pouted.

"Asus.. Babe.. ?" K said in a seducting voice as she slowly touched his shoulders.

"An.. Ano K-- K??" he said feeling tensed.

"Babe.. " she whispered on his ear that made Vice tickles a little.

"K nakikiliti ako.. Tigil na .. " as he held both hands on the stirring wheel and pretended to be focused on the road.

"Babe.. diba gusto mo ikiss kita..?" as she kissed him on the neck.

"Ikaw naman di na mabiro.. Tigil mo na yan Pls.. baka mabangga tayo. . " he said and gave a deep sigh after. K laughed hard and went back into her seat and buckled up.

"Sobrang nakakatawa yung mukha mo Pogi! As in! Hahahaha! Becareful what you ask for coz you might get it. Naker! Tense na tense ka tuloy!" panunukso ni K sa kanya.

"Uy Kurba! Wag kang Ano ha! Kung di lang ako nagdadrive, Ewan ko lang sayo kung saan ka pupulutin.. Pasalamat ka mahal na mahal kita.. Ayokong maaccidente tayo.. " he said defensively. Di nakasagot si K at bigla itong natahimik. Di rin naman alam ni Vice kung ano tumatakbo sa isip ni K kaya pinili nya na ring tumahimik.  Nakakabingi ang katahimikan.

"Mahala na mahal kita.." K tried to kill the silence. She stared deeply into him.

"Sobrang mahal kita Jose Marie Viceral... Tama ka .. di ko talaga alam kung saan ako pupulutin kapag nawala ka sakin.. Wag mo kong iwan hah.." she said and she was emotional. She was trying her best to hold the tears but she was too weak that it all run down into her cheeks.

Itinabi ni Vice ang sasakyan at tumigil sandali. Inalis nya ang seat belt at niyakap ng mahigpit si K.

"Shhh.. K wag ka ngang umiyak.. Nasasaktan ako kapag nakikita kitang ganyan.. Ayoko kong umiiyak ka.. Alam mo bang dependent din ako sayo.. Bawat galaw ko , saan man ako pumunta kinukunsulta ko muna sayo. Sobrang mahal kita , higit pa sa inaakala mo... Higit pa sa buhay ko.. At bakit nan kita iiwanan?? Eh ikaw ang buhay ko..." he let go from the hug and wipe the tears from K's face.

"Basta kahit anong mangyari hah.. Wag na wag mo kong iwan hah.. " nakatingin sya sa mga mata ni Vice. Pure and sincere eyes. Full of love for her.

"Kahit na ...

di mo na ko marinig..

Kahit pa ..

di mo na abot ang sahig.. 

Ikaw pa rin...

Ang buhay ko.. " he sang ..

Bumaba sila sa kotse at nakarating sa isang simbahan malapit sa bundok. They arrived at Chavayan Chapel located in Batanes. It is a small chapel located in the sleepy town of Chavayan. Napakatahamik ng lugar. Napakaganda ng paligid. Halos kita ang buong syudad mula sa kinaroroonan nila. The beautiful mountain on the background adds charm to the quaint little chapel.

"Ang ganda dito Pogi.. Grabe!" tuwang tuwa si K. Walang mapagsidlan ang kaligayahang nadarama nya. Di mapakali ang kanyang mata sa paglibot ng paligid.

Ngunit nagulat sya ng biglang nawala sa likod nya si Vice. Nakaramdam sya ng kaba at nilibot ang paningin upang hanapin ang kasama.

"Vice??Vi--- Vice?" sigaw ni K at dahan dahang pumasok sa simbahan.

Pagpasok nya ay may nakita syang envelope sa sahig na may pangalan nya. Binuksan nya ito.

Imagine me waiting for you at the end of the aisle. Check the scattered photos down the aisle. Walk slowly and steady. Hihintayin kita.

As she took her first step on the aisle, a music played.

Nasa kalagitnaan pa lang si K ay natatanaw nya na si Vice sa dulo. Nakatayo ito sa gilid at nakangiti sa kanya.

Sa bawat hakbang nya ay nakikita nya sa carpet ng aisle ang mga litrato nila ni Vice. Ang mga masasayang nangyari na magkasama sila na kuha mismo ng camera nya.

All are debris. Debris of memories that we will always cherish for the rest of of lives.

A love that knows no gender.

A Love that's not who I can see myself with but who I can’t see myself without.

A Love that doesn’t need a reason.

A LOVE that does not need to be perfect but needs to be TRUE.

A LOVE that I found in YOU!

Vice extended his hands to reach her. He held her hand tightly that he was so afraid to let it go.

"Wag kang mag alala di ito shotgun wedding. hihi" he chuckled.

"Kinakabahan kasi ako sa mga basabog mo.. " she answered in a nervous tone.

"I just want to see myself waiting for you while you are walking through the aisle. " sagot ni Vice.

"So rehearsal pala ito. Bakit di ako nainform?haha" natatawang sabi ni K.

Ngunit di sumagot si Vice. Sa halip ay nakatingin sya sa imahe sa harap ng altar. He looked up at the Creator. He was silent but K can feel that he was thinking deep.

"Lord. Andito po sya. Sya na po ang kumupleto sakin. Kung kelangan po sa tingin nyong pwede kaming pag isahin ,sabihin nyo lang po. Kasi ako handang handa ng makasama sya habang buhay." Seryoso na pagkasabi ni Vice. Maluhaluha nyang sinasabi iyon. Inakbayan nya si K at tinignan sa mga mata.

"Whenever you are ready, babalik kita dito. And I'll marry you. .."
