DAISY'S STOMACH SWARMED as they stood outside the Potters' door, the girl filled with giddiness, excitement, and the slightest bit of nerves.

Marlene had taken it upon herself to knock on the door, and Daisy was sure that any of the marauders would be opening it any moment now. However, the girls were greeted by James's mother, Euphemia, instead.

As the Potter mother opened the door, she beamed at the sight of the four girls. "Isn't this lovely!" She exclaimed, "The boys were beginning to wonder when you four would get here." She continued.

Lily wasted no time in responding, as she had grown quite a liking towards the Potter mother- despite her son. "Euphemia!" Lily exclaimed happily, embracing the woman in a hug- as she hadn't seen her since last Christmas. "How are you?"

"I've been lovely, It's wonderful to see you all! I needed some female presence around the house." She said as the four girls made their way inside. Marlene scoffed, "I keep you in my thoughts, Euphemia!" She said dramatically, "I really don't know how you managed to be with so many boys all summer."

Daisy couldn't help but smile, especially because the energy of Marlene Mckinnon and Euphemia Potter was absolutely infectious- something Daisy was sure James had inherited from his mother.

Once the four girls entered the house, it didn't take long for the sound of the Marauders messing around to immediately fill their ears, the four boys making their presence no secret as well.

James was flipping into the pool- Sirius laughing at the bespectacled boy as he landed flat on his stomach, Remus shaking his head in a disapproving manner- although Daisy caught the boy biting back a laugh as he watched his two friends, while Peter sat on a beach chair, enjoying a slice of watermelon.

Peter was the first to notice the girls, "Guys! They're here!" He exclaimed, heading over to greet his friends.

Daisy couldn't help but smile when she noticed how much more confident Peter appeared. If this had been a few years back- or even a couple of months ago, the boy would have never approached the girls without the Marauders, so it was nice to see that the boy had finally come out of his shell.

"Hi, Pete," Mary said happily, throwing her arm around the boy- a slight blush appearing on his cheeks.

Lily greeted the boy by pulling him into a hug as well, while the other three boys headed over.

Daisy's eyes had widened upon seeing Sirius. He had matured over the summer, there's no denying that, especially as he got closer and closer to seventeen. It didn't help that the boy was shirtless and that Daisy was blushing.

Sirius must have noticed Daisy's blush because Daisy noticed he had his signature Sirius Black smirk plastered all over his face.

Although, it didn't take long for Sirius to look like the stupid one. Because once he got close enough, the air was quite literally knocked out of his lungs.
