Chapter 46

Laura P.O.V.

"I kissed Rocky."

He pushed my hands away. "Ross, talk to me." He got up and turned away from me. "Laura, I can't even look at you." I licked my lips. "Ross, please don't do this." I grabbed onto his hand. "Please just look at me, talk to me baby."

"No, Laura. Just leave me alone." He started walking up the stairs. I bit my lip, holding back the tears. "Ross! I'm sorry! It was a mistake!" He turned quickly. "A mistake that can't be forgiven, Laura!" 

"Right! I'm not the one who messed up countless times only to be taken back, Ross! That was you!" Ross clenched his fits together. "Dammit, Laura! I just-" He ran his fingers through his hair, pulling on the ends. "You just what! You can't except that I have wants! You can't accept that maybe I kissed your brother because you weren't there!" Ross turned around and punched the wall. The entire family ran outside of their rooms.

"What is going on here?" Stormie asked, descending the stairs. "Nothing, absolutely nothing." Ross unclenched his fists, starting to go upstairs. "No, Ross. Tell them! Tell them how you hate me! How I made a mistake and you won't forgive me! How you are beyond forgiveness, but how you can always expect it from others!" 

"Laura, just leave me alone for once!" I threw my hands in the air. "Whatever, Ross." I shook my head, pushing him to the side and walking upstairs only to be stopped by Riker. "Laur, tell me what happened?" His eyes were looking directly into mine, I couldn't fake my feelings or my thoughts with Riker. I used my sleeve to wipe the dampness of my eyes. 

"I kissed Rocky," I whispered to Riker. I looked over at Rydel, her eyes were shocked. She ran to Ross. He melted right into her arms. "Ross, it's gonna be okay," She whispered reassuringly into his ear. His head fell to her shoulder, she held his head in her hands. Stormie patted his back. 

"Laura-" Riker was speechless. "How could you? With our brother?" Riker's eyes pleaded with me. "Tell me you're lying." I shook my head. "I wish I could." Riker let go of me, backing away. "I don't wanna see you. I think I should go." 

I grabbed Riker's wrist as he tried to walk down the stairs. "Riker, I'm not driving you out of your own house. I'm gonna leave for tonight." I walked into my room and grabbed a bag, quickly throwing the essentials inside it. I reached for my suitcase and packed everything I could fit in it and filled up my bags with the rest of my stuff. I took one more look at the room, it was bare, there would be no reminders of me ever being here. Stormie and Mark showed up at my door. "Laura, honey, where are you going to stay?" I shrugged. "I can just text one of my old friends I guess." 

I grabbed my phone, attempting to walk out of the door, but Stormie wouldn't let me. "Just give Ross some time, he will come around." I shook my head. "Ross won't forgive me, I've never done anything that would give him the impression that I am unfaithful, yet he still doesn't even want to look at me."

"I want to thank you both, for everything you've done for me. Opening your home to me, taking me in when you barely knew me, being like a second family to me when I was alone. I want you to know that I will never forget this, but it's time I've moved on. I don't belong here, I never did. I'm moving out." I let a small tear slide down my cheek. Stormie held my face in her hands, wiping the tear off my cheek. 

I bit my lip to hold back the rest of the tears as I walked out into the hallway, leaving my bags in the room. Everyone stared at me, except Ross, who was still being comforted Rydel and the guys. I walked closer to him, he backed away. "I'm sorry, Ross. I didn't mean to hurt you, I didn't want to hurt you." 

"I'm moving out, I've been thinking of doing this since the whole Maia thing." He just looked at me, with his puffy eyes, his blotchy, damp face. I turned around grabbing my bags and walking back into the hallway to face everyone. I walked to Ross, dragging my suitcase behind me, bags on my arms. He made no attempt to move. Everyone, Rydel, Riker, Ryland, Ross just stared at me. I let a small tear slide down my cheek. I quickly wiped it, trying to hide my pain and my feelings. 

I walked right by them, no one made any attempt to stop me. I loaded everything into the backseat of my car. Ross was standing on the steps outside the door, watching me go, with Rydel, Riker, Ryland, Stormie, and Mark standing behind him. 

Before getting into the car, I turned and whispered, "Bye, Ross."

So, I think this is the ending for this book. Sorry about choosing to end it, even though I said I'd do a sequel, I'm not completely sure I am going to.
