Laura P.O.V.
I screamed at the top of my lungs. I heard the front door open and felt someone's arms turning me around. "Laura, are you okay?" I nodded, then quickly shook my head. "He went to her." Riker looked puzzled. "Let's go inside and you can explain." He grabbed my hand, pulling me inside.
"Maia called Ross." Riker nodded to show he was listening. "He answered, I heard him screaming on the phone and I woke up. He thinks Maia was trying to kill herself. I tried to calm him down and make him stay, but he left, he rushed to her. He left me, for her." My tears started spilling over, Riker pulled me into a hug.
"Laura, he loves you, calm down. He didn't leave you for her." Riker grabbed my hand, holding it tightly. "Ross is just one of those people who likes to help. Maia is his friend, he cares about her, but he doesn't love her the way he loves you. I can guarantee that, I've seen it. Don't worry, Laur. You're stuck with him."
I giggled, wiping my tears. I heard the front door open and close. I turned quickly, seeing him and running to hug him. "Ross, I love you." I looked up into his eyes, he was smiling. "I love you, too." He wrapped his arms around me and hugged me tightly. I let go and someone stepped out from behind him.
"Why is she here," I glared at her, she knew I didn't like her. She looked scared, afraid and I don't think it was from me punching her the other day. I kinda felt bad, I felt sorry for her. She didn't have anyone here, all of her family was in Australia.
"Maia was about to hurt herself, I can't let that happen. She's gonna be staying here until she feels better, I've already worked it out with mom and dad. I hope you'll all make her feel welcome, she's apologized and I forgive her also." I quickly kissed his lips, making sure she knew very well that she was not taking him from me.
"Maia, I think we need to talk, just me and you, calmly." I gestured towards the stairs, wanting to go up to my room. Maia hesitated before nodding slowly. I started towards my room, with her following behind. I opened to door and shut it behind her. I gestured for her to sit down on the small couch, and after she did, I did as well.
"Uhh.. Maia, I.." I started, but she interrupted. "Listen, Laura, I'm really sorry. I promise, it wasnt my idea to come here, and I won't try anything." I nodded. "Maybe we can get through this, put it in the past." Maia still looked scared and upset, she slowly nodded. "I promise, I'll stay out of your way and I won't bother you guys."
I shook my head. "I really do want to work through this, I hope we can, you seem like a nice girl." Maia smiled as best she could, considering she looked like a scared child. "Maia, are you okay?" Her eyes were glassy, and her face was blotchy, as though she had been crying for several hours.
"I tried, I really did. I tried to get out of your lives. I was just calling to apologize, to say bye. You're lucky to have him. If he hadn't come, I'd be dead right now." I smiled. "That's Ross for you, always helping. He cares about you, he doesn't want you to get hurt."
"I'm sorry that I cause so much trouble. Ross won't let me leave, or let me be alone." I nodded. "Ross doesn't want to see you get hurt." I was extremely surprised that I was actually being civil towards her. After that talk with Riker, I realized that I had nothing to worry about. Ross loves me, he told me he does, so why should I worry?
"I feel so bad because you're being so nice about this and I ruined everything." I shook my head. "If anything, Ross and I are stronger and I feel more secure because I have him again." Maia smiled. "Listen, could you just tell Ross that I'm in the bathroom? I need to take care of something."
"Maia, where are you going?" She stood up and started walking away. "I need to go back to my apartment and finish what I started." I grabbed her wrist, turning her around. "Maia, please don't go, I don't want to see you get hurt."

Later On
Maia was talking with Stormie. Stormie was trying to calm her down, and eliminate her thoughts of suicide. I went downstairs to the practice room. "Play me a song guys," I said leaning on Rocky's shoulder. "Guys, someone like you," Ross said picking up his guitar. I smiled, sitting down.Ellington counted it out, "1..2..1.2.3.4."
"You got a price tag hanging on the back of your dress,
You got your shoes undone and your hair is a mess,
But no one sees you like I do," Rocky started.
"You roll the windows down when it's starting to rain, yeah,
Everybody else might think you're insane,
But no one sees you like I do," Rocky continued singing, Ross winked, and Rydel was laughing like crazy.

No one sees you like I do," Riker winked at me, I giggled.

Then 20 minutes late is 5 early for you, yeah,
No one sees you like I do," Riker flipped his hair, trying to control his laughter.

I found it, perfect happiness. I found happiness right in this moment, right here with these people. They were my new family, I finally felt like I belonged here. I finally felt at home.
