Jax's POV

Para akong binuhusan ng malamig na tubig. Narinig ko ang singhapan at malutong na mura sa paligid pero para yata akong napipi. Hindi ako halos makagalaw sa kinauupuan at natulala na lang. Maging ang paghinga ko ay hindi na rin normal. Iniangat ko ang ulo at bumaling sa kan'ya. Tulad ko ay wala rin itong imik. Lahat kami ay hindi makapaniwala. That question just triggered all of our anxieties. It's now between me or Laine... Choosing between one of us will risk the latter. Choosing to save one means the death of the latter.

"I will give you time to think your answer carefully, Led." I gulped looking at my now terrified friend.

"3 minutes and your time starts NOW!" I cursed under my breath.

A seconds past, no one still dared to speak. I assumed the pressure at my friend's shoulder is too much to bear. Ang pagpili ng ililigtas sa isa sa amin ay para na ring pagpatay sa isa. But we're left with no choice! Hindi rin naman 'yon ang sitwasyon pero naiipit kami. I pull all my courage and fiercely look at my anxious friend.

"Led!" He might not heard me but he must feel my heavy stares at him that makes him turned towards my direction. 1 minute had already passed!

"Just choose!" Sigaw ko. Pero umiling-iling naman ito. Takte? E 'di parehas kaming mamamatay dito! A few seconds passed, I heard the loud bumped of something heavy against glass. I immediately turned to Laine seeing her desperately pointing her finger into me. Aish! There's no way.

"Takte! Si Laine ang iligtas mo!" I shouted again while pointing my finger to her. But looking at the guy, who's now having a rough time looking at the both of us while we're shouting who to save. "Damen!" The older guy immediately looked up at me with a questioning stare.

"We need the key!"

"We need the key to free these chains from us." Continuing this Q and A is certainly a waste of time with that mad man. He's obviously just having fun playing us! Kailangan naming umisip ng paraan para makalaya at makaalis dito! At kung hindi... Mauubos talaga kami. He's way too tricky. Kanina kasi habang nag-oobserba ay may napansin ako sa sistema ng lugar. There's a lot of hypothesis keep formulating inside my brain but then there's one thing I'm sure of...

Games confuses us to find the way out here.

"And I already have a plan." He grinned. And I bet, Damen already discovered it before I realized, huh. But what can we expect? He's always one step ahead of us.

Pero ang mahirap lang din talaga ay nasa mataas kami at hindi madaling maiabot sa amin ang susi. Habang nasa malalim na pag-iisip si Led ay rinig na rinig ang pagpitik sa bawat segundo sa timer, at hindi ko na rin  maiwasang pa ang kabahan para sa sarili.

"One minute and twenty-three seconds left, guests!"

And guests... That term he always call us makes me doubt. There's something off but I still can't point it out yet. I peeked at the troubled man seeing him looking sincerely at Laine. Just decide and choose him, bruh. Kaya ko ang sarili ko kahit papaano pero si Laine, ang telang nakatakip sa labi nito ay ang mas magpapahirap sa kan'ya, kung sakali. We even aren't sure if we'll going to win this game. It's between hearts or tricks. We let our heart rule and break us or with cleverness we played this death game.
