Patton's Family

Now we've got Patton's family (parents not included). And I can finally go into more detail about what the twins look like... I think you're gonna love it.

Pamela "Pam" McLain

Age: 14

Pronouns: She/her

Sexuality: Lesbian

Job: Student and future horror/mystery writer

Appearance: Chin-length, choppy light blue hair pulled back into two little Harley Quinn-style pigtails (held back with little beaded hair ties, which are almost always black). Has freckles and big blue eyes lined with black eyeliner, and usually wears magenta lip gloss. Always wears a black jeans jacket and heeled boots with pink-and-blue laces, plus patterned black tights. Usually wears a light blue crop top and a hot pink skirt.

Personality: Mostly pretty cheerful and optimistic, but is definitely the calmest of the McLain siblings. Loves dancing, lesbian cartoons, and decently written mysteries, and is currently working on a gay paranormal webcomic with Persephone. Is very much a cat person, and is keeping track of the days until Patton moves out so she can get one of her own. Also loves turtles, and would own at least fifty if she didn't go to the Academy (she'll get some once she graduates). Absolutely not innocent.

Pearl McLain

Age: 14

Pronouns: She/her

Sexuality: Biromantic graysexual

Job: Student at the Academy (doesn't know what she's gonna do yet)

Appearance: Looks identical to Pam---right down to the black eyeliner---but she keeps her hair held back with a pink headband instead, and she wears a white jeans jacket. Has combat boots with pink-and-blue laces and black tights, and almost always wears a hot pink crop top and a light blue skirt. Always wears black lipstick, and nobody has ever seen her without it.

Personality: Definitely the most reckless of the siblings, and is pretty much the epitome of "do it for the Vine---" which is probably why she gets along so well with Quinn. Very energetic and upbeat, and shares her sister's love of mystery stories and cats (though she prefers geckos to turtles). Is also a fan of rom-coms and love stories, but only if they're decently written and don't glorify unhealthy relationships. Loves old black-and-white movies.

George Herald

Age: 80

Pronouns: He/him

Sexuality: Straight

Job: Retired accountant

Appearance: Medium height and round, with glasses, blue eyes, a mostly-bald head, and a scruffy white beard. Lots of smile lines, and always wears suspenders, even though Pam and Pearl have told him several times that they make him look dorky. Dresses fairly casually, though he'll wear a tie every now and then.

Personality: Big-hearted and fairly soft-spoken, and loves a good book. Quite smart, and is always eager to assist his grandkids with math, but tends to go off on tangents and gets distracted easily. Has a very loud and powerful singing voice, which always comes in handy whenever the family goes caroling. Is surprisingly very into classic rock, and has been known to sing "You're My Best Friend" every time his and Jean's anniversary rolls around. Loves old British TV programs.

Jean Herald

Age: 79

Pronouns: She/her

Sexuality: Straight

Job: Retired teacher

Appearance: Around George's height, with grey hair in a pixie cut and glasses. Usually wears sweaters and jeans, and always has pearls on. Also has a lot of smile lines, and her clothing is usually in pastel colors.

Personality: Very kind and welcoming, but years of working with kids has made her tough as nails, so you really do not want to mess with her. Swears a little more than you'd expect, and has a lot of energy in her for someone who's nearly eighty. Loves to cook, bake, and sing, and always seems to be dancing. Very protective over her family, but is super sweet around her grandchildren's friends.
